You can get a list of rescues in the Fl. area now, when you go to Fl. you'll have something to start with. I am sure you have a vet in Fl. you can call and ask them if they know of any rescue teams or shelters. My vet has a rescue team, that's how I got my kido. You can also call vets in and around your Fl. area. Are you limiting yourself to just Fl. or are you willing to travel. You can also check the states closet to you, call some vets in the states you would travel to, see if they know of any rescue teams or shelters.
