I am not sure. I might get my puppy from them then I might not. Then I have seen where some people has got good puppy and some that has not but I don't know if they is right. And the petland in Kennesaw is family own they don't work for the other Petland. I found staryorkie I might get my yorkie from them. I don't know yet I am still looking off and on. |
PLEASE do your research, you DO NOT want to buy your puppy from ANY pet store & DO NOT buy your puppy via the INTERNET! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...land-lies.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...-pet-land.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ca-encino.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...fo-please.html |
I am done because at the end of the day I can list place where I am thinking about going to get my yorkie. They can be breeders. And y'all we still tell me they are puppy mill or they get there puppys from a puppy mill. So the only thing I can do is where every I get my puppy from is to pray and hope that my puppy is healthy. And I was plan on take the puppy to the vet 42 to 72 hours I get him any way to make sure. Because so puppy get ill months and years later. So I am done talking about this. |

You need to learn to be patience and RESEARCH !!! We also KNOW what we are talking about !!!!!!!!! |
I am sorry if I & others have made you feel like you can't win for loosing but there are the facts & then there is the rest. I was a Vet Tech for many yrs & know all to well the suffering the offspring of mill dogs go through. If you research the conditions that I provided you with in one of my other posts you can see that some of these conditions don't even show up in a dog till yrs later & they appear to be completely healthy as pups. You see, a Vet can only see what's on the outside & most people don't want to pay for an x-ray or an MRI to see if there are any congenital defects on the inside. A reputable breeder knows their lines & IF a serious issue comes up with ANY of their pups, the breeder STOPS breeding it's parents IMMIDIATLY as a Reputable Breeder does not breed for the money but rather to better the breed. Puppy Mills & BYB's ONLY breed for the almighty $$$$$$. You mentioned that you have a Child ? What IF your Dr told you that you had a condition that would cut your life in half & 99.9% chance that IF you got PG & had a Child that the Child would have a 99.9% chance of also having this condition & most likely die before the age of 5yrs, would you still take that chance ? knowing that the child would suffer greatly & suffer a horrible life & death, would you do it ? As that's what BYB's & puppy mills do daily. How they sleep at night, I'll never know as I have many, many times seen these poor innocent pups & dogs die such horrible deaths. Now , ask yourself IF you can sleep at night knowing what you supported & Heaven forbid you end up with a pup with a life threatening condition, you will have to watch it suffer daily. Also you said the petstore you refer to as Petland is not connected with the "PETLAND" that we refer to???? this is not possible as "PETLAND" is a chain & they OWN the name, so if what you say were true "PETLAND" would have sued the pants off of them already. AND there have been store employees rite on the National News caught LYING about this EXACT thing. Bottom line PETLAND's are the scum of the earth!!!! I wish you luck on the search for your new family member & will PRAY that when you end up with a sick/dying puppy that you find a way to deal with it & explain what happened to that puppy to your child, wouldn't want to be in your shoes on that day. |

If you do this you are promoting puppy mills. They are cruel, in humane, dispicable places. You may get a very sick puppy. If you do this, you do not deserve to own a puppy because you obviously don't care about animals. The parents of this puppy are treated horribly, kept in a tiny cage, never see a vet, often have deformities, are not fed well, never touch the ground, never see sun light, never play, are shown no affection or kindness. Is this what you want to promote?!?!? |
Hey! I just saw your post and decided to stop by :D. I too thought of getting a puppy from a pet store at one time(for a bulldog) but then I realized it would be better if I went through a breeder who I could ask all the questions I wanted about the breed, who knew about their lines, and was selective where their pups went was better. Seriously, a teenager(no offense to those on the forum:)) working part time at a pet store would hardly know the history of a particular puppy from birth to present...at least from what I've run into. Breeders at least the good ones are always there to assist with problems you may be having with your pup. Price is relative when it comes to buying a puppy. Either youre going to pay on the front end(purchase price) or you're going to pay on the back end though unnecessary vet bills and meds. For me I'd rather pay the breeder a flat fee and spend the rest of my money on toys/clothes. You are absolutely right this decision is yours to make. If you feel comfortable with buying from a pet store I won't judge as long as you're confident/happy with that decision...I won't encourage you to do it though lol. |
big sigh |
To Bellabean how you can say some thing like this to me like you know me. And to every one last time I check all dogs need a home. It is not like they pick out where to live or where to have their baby's. See now if I tell y'all I was going to the humane society y'all will be ok and happy with that. When some of them is ill and very ill. But if a dog come from a puppy mill its not right like he or she pick to be there. when the humane society go to the puppy mill and take the dogs some of them they keep and the others they put to sleep. Did y'all know that because y'all know it all on here. So at the end y'all not right to do dogs like this. And for the ones who want to talk to me like you know me I don't like that don't talk to me like that because you don't know me. |
uneducated !!!!! |
OP, don't take the advise of people who have been where you are and trying to help you avoid painful mistakes - you'll live and learn. Just don't support puppymills and disreputable breeders who grind out puppies without full health-testing(not just a vet exam but the full course of tests) of the breeding pair or knowing the health problems of the ancestors of each. They flood the market with very badly genetically-flawed little dogs for people to buy and sellers tell people they are from family farms and retired rich couples with sparkling kennels and fine homes. Don't fall for it. The lives of their so-called "breeders"? You couldn't stand to see it - I promise. You would throw up to see where so many of those darling puppies come from. You couldn't take knowing what they go through trying to make babies & live 24/7 only in a filthy/feces-ridden cage where the urine odor filling their shed scalds their eyes. When you buy one of their dogs, you are supporting the disgusting way they breed and the dungeon life of their "breeders" as the owners pocket your money. The dogs they sell pay a huge price in suffering from all they've inherited. But, live and learn if you don't want to listen to advice. |
Ok I will do what I want to do so what. |
If you don't want to hear us, then don't post on here. Every time someone buys a puppy ill dog they promote puppy mills. If people stop buying from them, they go out of business. Just do some research. Watch the news. |
