| Yorkie in NY needing rescue!!! Yorkie On euth list for Wed....this Yorkie needs a rescue to put a stay on him and to be able to go and get him... I cannot get pic on computer...but he is such a happy looking pup...who has no idea how much danger he is in... Manhattan Center My name is LEONIDES. My Animal ID # is A905722. I am a male black and tan yorkshire terr mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 years old, I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/29/2011 from NY 10462, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. Reason for New Hope: DISEAS-ILL. EUTH MEMO No Euth Memo MOST RECENT MEDICAL RATING, BEHAVIOR RATING & WEIGHT 08/06/2011 Exam Type OBSERVATION - Medical Rating is 3 C - MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is MILD, Weight 10.0 LBS. Appetite: no interest in dog or cat food Temperature: 100.8 F BAR and friendly Per Dr. Prattis, gave liquid doxycycline (1cc) rather than pill form (1/2 pill) as Leonides is not currently eating PET PROFILE No Summary WEB MEMO No Web Memo 08/02/2011 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION - MILD Exam Type BEHAVIOR Look 2 og pulls out of the assessors cupped hands each time without settling during the three repetitions Sensitivity 1 og leans in to the assessor with loose body ,wagging tail and ears relaxed Tag 1 og assumes play position and joins the game Squeeze 1 :dog gently pulls back his paw Squeeze 2 1 og gently pulls back his paw Food 1 :No interest Toy 1 :No interest Rawhide 1 :Minimal interest Dog to dog 1 :Approaches the helper dog with loose body ,wagging tail and ears relaxed Helper 905867 07/30/2011 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM Medical rating was 2 NC - MINOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, behavior rating was NO CONCERN SCAN NEGATIVE BRIGHT, ALERT, RESPONSIVE, HYDRATED PHYSICAL EXAM-MILD TARTAR, A LITTLE MATTED ON LEGS, NOSF 08/04/2011 CAGE EXAM (LAST MAJOR EXAM) Medical rating 1 - NORMAL , behavior rating MILD S: Adult Yorkshire Terrier presents for URI evaluation and hx of seizure activity O: mm pigmented but wet, normal dentition with a large amount of plaque; HR = 142, RR = 28. Occ. coughing noted, but no current nasal or ocular infection present. Thoracic ausculation is normal and without wheezes, fluid or other abnormalities. Normal abdomenal palpation. Good appetite, but finicky, normal stool and water intake / hydration has been noticed. A: Recovering kennel cough.; prossible epileptic P: Continue medications. Continue to observe for seizure activity and medicate if seizures occur more frequently (more than once per month, and/or multiple times per day) and/or are prolonged (more than 3 minutes). | He was pulled by Rebound Hounds. According to the ACC - Leo has a history of seizure and picky eating. My gut is he has a Shunt or MVD...I really hope the rescue gets to the bottom of it...poor baby...but he is SAFE |

| We did contact Yorkie 911.... & a few more.... & were happy to find out a rescue put a hold on him.... sorry I did not write sooner... that he was safe....

| Wasn't there another thread on this? I thought the Yorkie was homed or at least rescued. |
