Just checking in to see how Miss Gabby is doing. How did things go with the new cart?

My vet spoke with the internal med specialists at A&M; and they said the above mentioned medication disappeared with the dinosaurs. Anyway....there is no proof that it works. I am glad I followed my instincts and had my vet call them. Instead they suggested a once/day dose of the Nitrofurantoin (the antibiotic that she has been on that costs as much as gold ) and frequent expressing of the bladder of course. So, that is the course of action now regarding her UTIs.

Gabby got her cart.....it looks so tiny and cute. She stood in the hallway and did not move when we first tried it; but once I got her home she was walking within a few minutes!! She is sleeping right now....guess it wore her out.

I will have to get videos soon of her in this cart...so cute. She walked through the entire house!!

Good to know! We may need to figure something out with Layla's expressing too, so we can do it more often. We've found it's tough to rely on others to do it because we've already "employed" 3 people and had them all flake out We'll see what the vet says after we figure out what's causing the infection this time.

I'm glad to hear she started walking in the cart! She will get very used to it soon enough I can't wait to see a video!

So happy to hear this. I am excited for Gabby, this is going to be a whole new world for her. Can't wait to see the video

We are working with her and her cart. At first she was all over the place....now she often just stands still looking bewildered. Hopefully she will soon learn to love it. She has an appt with PT tomorrow.

Checking in on Gabby and hoping she is liking her cart more and more! Bless you for all you are doing for this sweet baby!!!!!! What an inspiration!

Just spoke with the physical therapist and we are holding off on Gabby's appointment. It was to adjust her cart and since she is not really relaxing enough in it, the adjustments cannot be done yet. Usually after they settle into them, their back elongates a bit and the cart needs an adjustment. She gave me some additional tips for getting Gabby moving.
