WOW, she looks terrific! |
She is a doll, Steve! She was so adorable at the dog show. Just really seemed to love it! :) |
Wow she looks really good. I hadn't check in on her for a while and she just looks wonderful. Love that pink ride she has. And her sparkling dress she has on. Glad she got all the deserved attention at the show. And I am so glad she come to you, so she could get a chance. Thanks for all you have done and do! |
2 Attachment(s) Gabby went for a ride today to pick up Summer. Here are a couple of pics! :) Attachment 353697 Attachment 353698 |
Oh my gosh! Look at Miss Gabby! LJ she looks sooooo happy now. :) She don't even look like the same girl that you first picked up!!! Wow, what a difference you have made for her! |
What a improvement. She has the same tongue as Maxine! :) |
I cannot believe how far gabby has come from original pics and her state she was in in January. The power of prayer and a great caregiver is amazing! |
Still love the little Gabster. I love how she goes right along with you LJ with no problems whatsoever, she just likes to be included. She really has done amazingly well, she looks wonderful.:):) |

You worked a miracle with Gabby and no doubt you'll have the same effect on Summer as well!;) |

All of Summer's vet bills have been covered! :) Happy day! We are all so touched by the outpouring of kindness and support! She went to the vet today and they were able to remove some of her sutures. Some areas still need a bit more healing time so she will return next week. |
That's great news. Will not rest until she is pretty much back to normal and healthy. |
LJ you have done a miraculous job with these 2 sweet babies. They may not want to ever be seperated. |

Just now seeing this post. Bless little Gabby's heart. She has been through so much. It is so wonderful that she has a place where she is loved and feels safe. I have pulled and fostered about 25 dogs over the past few years and they all seem to be so loving and thankful. All they want is someone to love and take care of them and it is so hard when it comes time to transport them. Thanks for all you do. |
Those have to be the cutest pictures. That shiny little black nose. I love doggy noses. Every dog I've had except one has been a stray or an adoptee and I think they are the best. Sometimes, the more troubles they have the better companions they are. It seems to increase their love quotient. |
Gabby has had an ongoing problem with UTIs which is very common with paralyzed pups. She has taken one antibiotic after another...diet changes have been done....just cannot get a handle on it. Yesterday I got the awful news that she has two resistant bacteria in her bladder. MRSA is one. I am just sick over this because if we cannot get rid of a normal one, I doubt we will get control of this. :( The problem is that her bladder must be expressed and it is not emptying normally. :( I have spoken with my vet and others and my concern now is what Gabby's quality of life is. She hates the meds, she has a problem many days with her appetite probably due to the meds. I also don't want to think about what happens if this gets out of control and goes to the kidneys and the rest of her body. :( My vet had spoken with the specialist about this previously and we were hoping to get rid of the UTI so that Gabby could be started on a med that would hopefully prevent UTIs. We have never been able to clear it so that did not happen. My vet is going to consult with them again today to see what options are left. This is horrible for me. I feel just sick over it all. I do not want Gabby to be sick...she is my main concern. :( She and I could really use your prayers. |
Hoping and praying for an improvement. You are doing all you can for her! |

Oh no not Gabby! Terribly upsetting to hear this news. Hopeful that the vet and/or specialist can get a handle on this and come up with a treatment plan for her or a different antibiotic option that will work for her. Sending prayers and hugs to you as well, I know how attached you are to her. |
I feel so very, very bad for Gabby and know you are doing all you can for her, LJ. Just awful news and will hold her in my thoughts and prayers. She is such a sweet soul and I fell in love with her in Houston, as did everyone else. Tears here.... |
Oh I am so sorry to hear this about poor Gabby she has been through so much! Sending prayers for her and for LadyJane whose heart is so full of love and caring for her little babies. I hope a solution can be found to control Gabby's UTI's. |
