| This is beyond heart breaking... Petfinder Adoptable Dog | Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie | Commerce, MI | CELINE-HELP! ALMOST STARVED TO DEATH! Celine, an 18 month old, 3 pound yorkie, had been left in the care of a 9 year old child since her purchase at a pet store. She is starving, dehydrated and severely anemic- never let out of the child's room, and possibly kept in a box most of that time. A Good Samaritan neighbour got her out of there and surrendered her to RetroDoggyRescue for treatment. Celine has been admitted to Wilson't Veterinary Hospital in Washington Twp, MI and needs a blood transfusion for her severe anemia. Hopefully, the blood transfusion, IV fluids and antibiotics will be enough to save her. Please call Wilson't Vet Hospital and make a direct donation to the RDR/Celine Fund. Current estimate for treatment is $750 to $1500. |

| Oh dear God. That poor little puppy! Why would someone spend all that money to buy from a petstore and then leave a child to take care of the animal? To never allow it out of the bedroom or even make sure it's being fed? Bless that neighbor for stepping in. I pray this little one makes it.

| I just went back and watched it. Now I'm in tears. She's such a sweet, sweet, beautiful little girl. My heart is breaking thinking of her living her whole life in a box.

| Oh, that poor sweet little girl!! I am so glad someone stepped in to help in this situation...and I hope charges will be pressed against the owners. So sad near the end of the video when she's all cleaned up and laying on the table, she looks like she doesn't even have the energy to lift her head.

| I don't and will never understand these parents who buys their young kids puppy as a toy. Puppies are not stuffed animal!

YT 1000 Club Member | That makes me so mad! How in the world could the parents do this to the poor dog? yes, i say the parents cause the child sure wasn't responsible and it should have been their responsiblity not the child's. They need to have the same thing done to them and see how it feels to be so neglected! |

The link is going to the same page as the other was. Just to the right of where her picture would be it says Read More About This Pet. Click on that and then scroll down a little.

| Poor Little Yorkie OMG, what a terrible thing to happen to the poor little furchild. Thank God some kind soul rescued the little one from the dreadful home. Wouldn't this amount to animal cruelty and require prosecution????? These 'owners' should be punished severely for keeping the poor little mite in such bad conditions. I do pray that the treatment makes the furbabe better and that a wonderful caring home is found soon. I am so angry at the 'owners' and feel so bad for the Yorkie, such a sweet little baby. |

I have to say that when I brought Truman home his body looked the EXACT same way! Every bone was protruding from his body. It just brought back all the memories of when he was first here with us. As for the 9 yr old that kept the dog in a box~I have a 9 yr old neice and she would have enough sense to not let an animal starve to death.
