| Senior Yorkie Talker | Tiny's new little friend I named after my aunt... her name is Chelita. No barking from her. I think it was just an excuse to put down when giving her up. I will just be grateful they took her to a wonderful small shelter that cares deeply and provides a clean, calm, temporary haven to their animals. If they could not care for her anymore, they could not have chosen a better place for her. She is a little camera shy but I will try to get a good picture of her when she is sleeping. Too bad no one could look past her age. She is a beautiful little girl and very healthy. Seems most only want puppies these days. Their loss is our gain! Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I know most of you would have done the same. |

| Chelita is a blessed little girl as is little Tiny. Course you may be the most blessed of all having these two little ladies in your life but all the same - thanks a million for giving these sweeties another chance at life.

![]() All right, now I'll try to pull myself together to type -- thank you for taking these girls in to your loving home. They did need you. It pains me to think of these poor babies that have been put aside after so many years. I would have bawled too. I'm so happy that you adopted them.

| It is so heartwarming what you have done, taking these little 'seniors'. I just can't imagine someone, other than the person passing or going into a nursing home or something like that, ever giving up a dog they have had for so many years! I feel so bad for the dogs put in a shelter, how frightened they must be, (where's my mommy)! It's like giving up a 12 year old child! What is with people? I still miss my little dogs that have passed. I know each one of them left this world knowing how loved they were. Heck, I can go out of town, have a dog sitter at my home, and can't quit thinking of my dogs the whole time I'm away!! |

| Bless you for having such a big heart and taking these sweet babies. I can only hope that if something happened to me and my little senior babies needed to find a home, there would be someone there like you to take them and love them and cherish them for the rest of their days. You are an inspiration.

| Senior Yorkie Talker | I keep posting in the hopes if an opportunity comes to someone that has read Tiny's story it will inspire them to help a senior in need. They do not live long, but they leave a life long impression. It is rewarding to help them live out their lives in peace and pass on with love and dignity. It is not just me. There are many out there who are quietly doing the same. Unfortunately, there are many little ones being left behind. |

| I'm so thankful you've taken in another little senior to love. You are just an angel. I just lost my little senior Abigale last week. She was my failed foster that I had for 5 yrs. It hurts so much to lose them but I do find some comfort in knowing her last five years were wonderful and filled with so much love. I know there are so many out there that need loving homes but I just don't know if I can do it again. Bless you for giving these beautiful souls a beautiful life. |

| I have just finished reading this entire thread. What an uplifting story that started from such terrible events in Tiny and Chelita's lives. You are such a kind and compassionate person, and I thank you for rescuing these beautiful souls. My Ashley lived a month shy of her seventeenth birthday, but I didn't rescue her as you did. Ashley was with me since she was a little baby. She needed extra love, protection, and care as she got older, but her senior days were a special time for us. I didn't think it was possible, but we grew to love her even more during that precious time in our lives. I know how painful it is when we lose our senior babies, but to me, the far greater loss would have been not to have them in our lives. |

| Senior Yorkie Talker | Hello all! To anyone east of the Mississippi I don't have to tell you how hot, hot, hot it is! Little Tiny is resting comfortably close to the A/C vent! Fleas are abundant this year! Thank goodness Tiny has not had a problem with little pets on her. The others in the pack have not been so lucky. Waiting for our supply of meds. I get mine from Little City Dogs. Great prices!I just cannot imagine how my little Tiny spent a summer in the heat and outside. Her fur never recovered totally, but her heart has remained forgiving and loving. Stay cool everyone! We think of all of you often and hope all is good with each and every one of you. To those in trying times, our prayers are with you. |

| I just found this and read through the whole thing. You are an amazing human being for taking in Tiny along with the others. I just adopted my first Yorkie she is 8 months. When I can get another I would love to take in a senior. I never thought about doing this but after reading your beautiful story you have changed my mind! Thank you

| Senior Yorkie Talker | I am so happy you would consider a senior yorkie. Chelita is a wonderful addition. Others will never know the wonderful little dog they passed up. I can see how Tiny has aged. I know she will not be here in years to come. But, she has been such a delight to have, it feels like she has always been here. Truth is, she always will be.... |
