I went to the shelter to bring some donations and was very saddened when I saw no less than 8 families ask to see a small yorkie that was up for adoption. Every single one only spent a few moments with her and put her back. I asked the attendant about her and it seems she was a very quiet and good dog, but was turned in at the age of 12 (nuisance barking they said). She was very sad and did not even whimper. I picked her up and decided I could not let this poor little girls heart be broken any more. At the front desk when I told the girl which dog I wanted to adopt, she literally started to cry. I thought maybe she wanted her for her family and she said no.... that so many people had asked about her over the past week, but no one wanted her because of her age. The last thing I really needed was another one after the heartbreak of Jasper, but I could leave her so sad and rejected.
Tiny now has a napping buddy. Tiny now has a little friend just like her with only on little tooth! Just like Tiny she never barks and is very protective of Tiny. Two very beautiful, gentle souls cast aside when they needed someone most. I am blessed to have them both! |
Ohhh, you're killing me over here.

All right, now I'll try to pull myself together to type -- thank you for taking these girls in to your loving home. They did need you. It pains me to think of these poor babies that have been put aside after so many years. I would have bawled too. I'm so happy that you adopted them.
