|  Yorkie mixes in Tennessee High-Kill Shelters I saw these babies on Petfinder and wanted to post them. The first two are in my town and I am going to go check on them tomorrow after school to make sure they are still there. I am pretty much in love with the first one....love those ears! | Aren't these the same little 'designer dogs' that everyone is always looking for yet say they can't find them in shelters?? Come one people...here they are...you can save a dog's life and have the designer breed you've been looking for...and for a reasonable price! I sure hope someone gets them before it's too late...they deserve a family and a loving home. |

| I Know those ears on patches are so cute! I will be out of class @ 2 and if the 2 in my town are there, I'm going to try and get them out And hopefully find them great homes. Ill let u know : )

I went by after school and they were both still there.  I had to pick my kids up at school and my daughter had a physical so I did not get back before they closed. I was planning to go back and get them out of their cages and walk them and play with them to see how they are. The workers told me that one of them was aggressive with one of the workers, but I'm sure she is terrified. I do have two young children (5, 9) so I have to be careful, but I am going back today so I can get them out and evaluate their personalities a little. They are set to be put down next week if they do not get adopted. The white one with the big ears is just absolutely adorable in person and the ears don't look quite as huge. LOL Anyway, I will let you know how today goes and hopefully I can get them out of there and find them good homes. If anyone rescues and has any advice for me if I am able to get them....I'm all ears!

| The first one Patches looks like my Doodelbug. I don't know if they will let you "rescue" them and rehome. Many shelters have contracts where that is not allowed unless you are a true rescue organization. I'm on my way to work but maybe send LadyJane a PM and ask her for a few contacts in TN area that might be able to help out. Try YTRN I know they are in the TN/IN area and might be able to help. Also check on Petfinder for local rescues that not know. Just because the one dog is acting aggressive it could really be frightened because of the surroundings. If I were closer......

| Kristy, how big is Phebe and what is the fee? My son's gf might be interested, they live in Kingsport. Which one was aggressive?

The longest they keep a dog is 2 weeks usually and I have seen them put down in a few days to make room. : ( I'm so scared for them. I will definitely contact her...thanks so much for the advice. : )

| The only group I know of offhand in TN is YTNR. Even if they cannot help, they should be able to recommend someone in your area. I have posted them to our group to see if anyone has any other ideas.
