That is the same information I sent to the OP...if I were to foster Layla I wanted contracts drawn up so everyone knew who was responsible for what...it's just always a good idea to have everything in writing. | |

| please put everything in writing with your friend---true friends will never mind. And, even if people have the best intentions...life happens. And, people make strange choices. I would put the fostering in (not permanent placement) and what to do in case of emergency or if she no longer wants to foster. When someone or something is around your home for a while--starts to feel like yours. And, i wouldn't want any confusion! I grew up with beautiful artwork and clocks that belonged to a friend of our family--they were with us for almost 20 years! We always knew we were just the custodians....yet, when they reclaimed their treasures, a piece of my childhood went with them! |

| Actually it's not a day or two, it's a few months. Dogs cannot go straight to Hawaii - they must be quarantined for 120 days (unless you start the quarantine on the mainland first and finish some quarantine time there). Hawaii is completely rabies-free and they take great care to keep any sick pets off the island. Taking a pet to Hawaii is a lengthy and expensive process. |
