| Urgent rescue needed in GA I just rescued a 2 year old female yorkie. I was going to spay her and rehome her to someone who wanted a yorkie but could not afford much for one. Well, I basically got screwed because I paid $200 for her adoption fee and got her home and upon checking her out, I discovered a golf sized tumor on her underside. Now the person does not want to take the dog back and I am stuck and don't know what to do. I do not have the money to take her to the vet and possibly have to get surgery done on her. Does anyone know of anywhere that she could go to get the necessary surgery or a group that would take her in? |

| Did you get her from a Rescue? Check this out in your area. Also maybe your vet can help. Sometimes clients are looking for another pet or maybe he can swing a deal. Let us know. Yorkshire Terrier Rescue Network, Inc. We accept all yorkies regardless of age of physical condition. Jane K. | I don't understand...if you truly 'rescued' her why would you want to take her back to the old owner once you found a health issue? That isn't the way rescue works...you rescue and deal with what comes your way with the best interest of the dog in mind and at heart...even if it costs you a few $$. I would check with vets and Yorkie/small dog rescue groups in your area...someone should be able to help with her surgery. Best of luck to the little girl...I hope this can be taken care of and an appropriate, loving home found for her. |

| I just saw it. How sad. OP : Please do not just give this pup to someone with money. She may not be spayed and who knows what someone will do with her. We can help you find a rescue to turn her over to where she will get the medical treatment she needs and deserves!

| I received a PM last night and she told me it was a hernia and could be repaired very easily when she is spayed. I live in Ga. but already have 2 puppies. I was trying to help find a home.
