| Urgent - Yorkies in Jefferson Parish Just heard about these two today. This is just awful. They only have until tomorrow. One is heartworm positive...not sure which one. The pictures are heartbreaking. We are just beyond full. We will send around to our contacts, but thought maybe someone on here might see them and be able to help. HPIM2804f.jpg HPIM2807yt.jpg

| No idea. I will not call them because it is too depressing. Yorkies are popping up every day in TX and LA and there are just not enough places for them. I did see the one on Petfinder today, so he might still be there. I did not see the other one. There was a pregnant one the other day in LA that someone did get...but she had the puppies at night in the shelter. The rescue got them all the next morning....but a couple of days later two puppies died. There are three left. It is just never ending.

| Ladyjane, Agree about the depressing part. Let's hope for the best. From what I have seen here in Central Fl it is not too bad with surrenders/turn in to shelters. However, the rescues do have their hands full. Thank you for all you are doing.

Here in TX, it is just overwhelming. Thanks for your kind words, Bob. We do a lot of praying...we cannot save them all. That is the hardest part of it all. When I first started out rescuing it did not seem this bad...seeing what I see now I sometimes wish I could go back to my naive state of mind.

A difference is being made even if it's a few being saved, getting the medical attention they deserve and going to a good forever home. We are thankful for all the volunteers here. I work rotating shifts so volunteering/rescue is difficult. Fostering/donation$/awareness is the best, and fairest, I can give now. Five years when I am eligible to stop work it's a different story.

I would not have been able to do this when I was working. It is definitely much too time consuming! That is a nice goal for you in your retirement!

| Omg, Its so overwhelming. It takes a village to help rescue. I hope someone in this area has stepped up and adopted these two. |
