She is doing more for me than I did for her. She is so precious! Really grips at your heart. :D I just thank you for allowing me to be a small part in her little life. |

Just wanted to give an update. I have spent the last 2 hours making her feel comfortable. She is very frightened of new people. My husband had a softball game tonight so he just got home an hour ago. He got down on the floor, talked baby talk, kissed her on the nose and she would turn around and RUN to me. He was persistent and finally after about 20-30 minutes she learned to trust him. He decided to take her out front on a leash to see what she would do. He said, "wanna go out side?". She ran to the door, spun around and put her nose to the crack of the door. She knows what it means!! I discovered she really didnt want to eat dry food, so I got a can of food & she SCARFED it. Not sure how long its been since she ate a full meal. She is now laying comfortably with her chewy, hand sewn blankey by Grandma and 2 stuffed toys. OH, she goes nuts when you squeek the toy!! :D Anyway, I am off to bed to get a little rest. I have to leave at 6am to get her to the vet by 7am. Seriously, yall say a prayer, I really want her to recover fully!! XOXO to everyone! She allowed me to get in her mouth to really look at her teeth, and she is missing teeth. Probably why she doesnt want the dry food. Bless her sweet little heart. |
OH one last thing, we named her :love:CASSIE. :D |

Me and Cassie are loading up! Took a quick walk and off we go! I have to take my Father to the VA for medical apts. this morning. He has been in and out of the hospital for blood clots in his lungs. He can't breathe and can't walk 10 feet without losing his breath. So, unfortunately I have to drop her off while I do that. It was either that, or put off her seeing the vet till tomorrow & I didnt want that. So, MonolosMom is picking her up about 11 and then I will meet her later in the day to bring her home. |

Your girls are angels. I hope the vet finds nothing wrong, other than what you are already aware of. Will keep Cassie in my prayer's today. I am so happy for her. OMG what some of them have to go threw to get a hug breaks your heart. |
Well I got her to the Vet just fine. She is so scared and timid. She was trying to jump out of the arms to get back to me. I was so worried that she thought she was just getting "dumped" off again. I got a little emotional.... I can't stop thinking about her, can't wait till ManolosMom is with her. :D She will know a Yorkie Lover when she meets her! Well, Dad just got here. Gotta get his wheel chair and head to the VA. Talk soon..... |

Hello everyone, Yes the boy will be available a 0430pm today so Baxtersmommy will go and get him too. I met Cassie today and the vet thinks she is pregnant. He is doing an xray on her and if she is they will spay her today. He is concerned about her heartworms and her cyst on her breast and a dental. Other than that she looks great. As soon as we hear anything we will update you. Ladyjane was been in contact with the vet so Im sure she will update this post. Thanks everyone and please pray for Cassie today. |

They did an x-ray on Cassie today to see if there were any puppies and there were none visible! So...that is the good news! Bad news is that she is definitely heartworm positive and has a large mammary tumor. She also is in need of a dental. She is scheduled for a spay and the mammary tumor removal on next Tuesday. The dental will be on hold for now. With her being heartworm positive we don't want her under anesthesia any longer than necessary. After she has recovered from her surgery, the heartworm treatment will be done. Please keep this little one in your thoughts and prayers...so much for such a little pupster to have to go through. |

I just called the shelter. The little boy has four people on the list for him. He will be available at 4:13 today. It is first come first served....so let's pray he goes to a good home. I believe Dana is going there, so it may be her! |

I just got home with Cassie and was not able to go to the shelter again. The couple who told me they wanted him, never responded to me after I sent the picture. I will call in the am to check on him, but at this point I am wondering where on earth I would put him. lol They are in the Bahamas, so I have no clue if they are in a bad service area or what. I did not see those other pups yesterday. Not sure if they are new or if they were in receiving, but they were not in kennels while I was there. Cassie is doing great, I just gave her dinner, so I am anxious to see how much she will eat and sleep tonight. She was whimpering until a little after 2am last night. I am hoping that she will become very comfortable in her surroundings this week so she will be strong for surgery. Her heart is enlarged, so it is always scarey facing surgery. It appears she has had these heart worms awhile. However, Dr. Darryl is confident and said everything that can be done for her, will be. (I am already nervous) I really like this Dr! |

I am number 3 on that list. I was told the lady number 1, really wanted him last Friday. So, I will be surprised if he is there in the morning. Never know though, he wasn't available till 4:15 and they close at 5:30. |
