I was joking about the corgi-yorkie! :D I've seen crosses with Dashunds and Griffons, but not Corgies. (But maybe it would solve having to dock the tail.)

I think it's funny when people call them "designer dogs." We just call them "Mother AKC, Father from a good neighborhood."

Now that's a nice way of putting it.....

I have a neighbor that just bred a Chi-King Charles with a Yorkie-Maltese.....now other than Hienz 57 what would you call it?

On purpose? That's hard to picture what the puppy will look like .... what if her ears hang down as long as her legs?:rolleyes:

Absolutely on purpose. I did my best, talking till I was blue in the face for weeks on end.....Gave him the number of a Spay/Nueter Clinic that would perform the procedure for $60.00........he was hell bent on breeding them.....To top it off the lil girl was only 6 months old.....thank goodness that all went fine and she free whelped 5.

Besides being a mutt, I've been spayed and up there in years, I don't think I'd even make a good pet....As my hubby says, I'm a bit high maintenance and long in the tooth.

This was intentional? What was he thinking? What does he call them?
That poor little baby. ugh
I have neighbors I could strangle .. one almost lost his yorkie in the pool one day. At least he did pay the EC to save him...but it could have been prevented. I tried to tell him puppies and pools are dangerous and to supervise him when he was out.
Texas is loaded with *outside dogs* as they refer to them.

My thoughts exactly......you don't know how much I talked to him. Gave my book on breeding and whelping to read (don't know if he read it). Absolutely no concern......And then I thought about it, these are the type of people that come out smelling like a rose. Responsible breeders do whatever it takes, makes all the right preperations, get nervous and scared......and at times end up losing pups and even the mother.......that afternoon I asked him if all the placentas were delivered, he said he wasn't sure. Told him that he should take her in for a POP shot (I have Oxcytocin here, but didn't tell him, didn't want to be responsible for that one) well, he didn't. I stressed how important it was.

I came from Texas, so I do know about the outside dogs. But, it's not much different here in certain areas of California.

Neither do I. My mother had a saying, beware of those who don't like children, flowers or animals......I find that to be true. But, if you look at today's society.....lots of craziness out there.

But, I do love Texas and I'm a native Californian......I cried when I left California and cried when I left Texas. What's that Texas saying "I'm not a native, but I got here as fast as I could" I love the people.

Your mother was right! I swear people get worse and worse...you might think that things would be improved upon.

I love Texas as well! I only moved here about six years ago. I visited a friend here many times and fell in love with the people. They are super friendly! I had moved here after living in NJ for many years and what a huge difference!!
