I doubt she will come on and post anymore. Rehoming because you're having a baby? That is very very sad! I know I've had this same discussion with my son, who is engaged and wanting children. He has 2 yorkies and said when they have babies, those 2 dogs(who are their children now) aren't going ANYWHERE. He said they were his first 2 kids, and they are just as important to him as his skin kids will be and won't be treated any differently than they are now. He knows his 2 furbabies will love any children he has and knows the kids will love the yorkies as much as him and his fiance do. I just don't understand why some people feel it's necessary to give up a dog when having a child.

We don't have to understand. We just need to offer support and try to help find new loving homes for these precious babies. Last edited by Lolasmom1211; 06-09-2009 at 05:40 AM.

| I really wish this thread would just be closed. This makes no sense that people who probably have never read the rescue section before are all coming here to post their "opinions" on the reason this person wants to rehome his/her yorkies. The thread was started to ask for help in rehoming them.....no need to carry this any further since people have already run the OP off. Totally disgusting and uncaring IMHO. If people feel the need to act holier than thou and talk about what wonderful pet owners they are, then why not just go somewhere else on YT and do so?!?

They are both so adorable!! I wish you luck in finding them the best home. I know that having a baby and also owning fur kids can feel a little overwhelming....especially if this is your first baby. I felt this when I as pregnant, but thankfully, I didn't rehome mine. My children ADORE our dogs and I can't imagine not raising my kiddos with them....it's all they have ever known since we owned Harley before having our children. I am sure that you have your own reasons for feeling like you need to rehome, I just wanted to give you a prescpective from another mommy. ![]() Good luck with whatever you decide~ Tammy

Your two yorkies are beautiful and they look well cared for. I do not think that you should have a problem with rehoming in your area. Just a note; this forum is like any other. Varieties of people with varieties of opinions. Whether we agree with your reason for rehoming, is not for us to comment on. You are trying to get them into a good home, and that says something. This rescue section, I am pretty certain, was created for just such issues. Please do not give up on YT rescue, there are people out here who can help you.
