Looking at the paperwork from the shelter we discovered they gave her every shot possible on Friday before we got her-rabies, kennel cough, all routine shots, wormer-everything. I was so mad. I am thankful she survived it. By yesterday afternoon, my gut was telling me duh- that is why she was in pain from shots and arthritis. Her bloodwork came back this morning normal. Sorry such a long post, but I am so thankful we rescued her.

Katie. You're not with Burlington Animal Alliance are you? I'm asking bc I just got an email a couple of days ago from Lorraine asking if I or anyone I knew could foster an old Yorkie they pulled from the shelter. They had no room in the inn but did not want to leave her. Just wondering if she's one in the same. By the way thank you for getting her out of there. Elaine

I'm asking bc I just got an email a couple of days ago from Lorraine asking if I or anyone I knew could foster an old Yorkie they pulled from the shelter. They had no room in the inn but did not want to leave her. Just wondering if she's one in the same. By the way thank you for getting her out of there. Elaine


Elaine- No I am not from there. Our rescue group mainly rescues cats from the kill shelters, but because I am a yorkie lover, they rescued her for me. Let me know if the one you are referring to needs help, I will take her to foster.

Here is an update-
Penalope has found a forever home. Glynn is her new daddy. Glynn has had a dog with cushings before and now has a sr. s**tz. Glynn took Penalope to his vet yesterday and she doesnt have cushings, she doesnt have a Patellar luxation. She had arthritis and his vet is testing her for thyroid (I dont understand why my vet didnt do that) She is going to have her teeth pulled and hopefully some left to clean because they are very sore. I have referred him to YT and I know he has been on here already.

THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING

I know that Save a Yorkie was also working to pull her, but as long as a rescue got her out is all that matters. Ya know she is still posted on PetFinder and I had such a pit in my stomach wondering why she was still there. I am crying tears of joy, so thankful she was pulled and is now in a loving home ~ THANK YOU
