| Hi Brown I am not sure what he saw in my response that made him call me. When we met him the first time, he did say that we were not what he thought was the ideal home for her. He then said that he found that he had to open his mind to discover the perfect home for her. We were lucky enough to impress him in order to complete the adoption. She is having some issues with my male dog. When ever she is mad at something (anything - including one of the kids) she goes to fight with my male......guess she has some male issues??? Anyway, I have never dealt with such aggression - I assume that she is just trying to adjust from having one owner who worked a lot to a family of 7 along with two dogs and a cat. Anyone have some training thoughts? I am lucky enough that my male doesnt attack back! |

| Hello Cheergirl: ![]() Thanks for the reply and further info on the little dog. I think I asked too many questions of the owner. I felt it better to let him know what I wanted in a pet so that we did not waste each other's time. Good for you that you tickled his fancy so to speak and that he called you, and that it worked out so well. I had to laugh when you said the dog attacks your male dog if she gets mad! Certainly seems to have male issues. LOL. She is probably overwhelmed with so much that is strange to her, after living a fairly quiet life with not much input. Most dogs take time to get used to a new home after adoption. My little Yorkie whom I adopted at 5 yrs old (and unfortunately died recently ) was a real basket case when I got her and very aggressive to other dogs. However after a few months she became much calmer and turned out to be a perfect little dog. I feel now she would be very hard to replace. So I am sure with your kindness and attention she will be a lovely and happy member of your family. We would love to see her and know how she is getting on in her new home, so please keep in touch. Bye for now and Good Luck with your new little one. |
