| How sad. I Hope he finds a wonderful home. I dont understand how people can have a pet for 11 years and then say it has to go. How hard can one little Yorkie be? you see this happening all the time , they get a pet have a baby and decide its to much work dog has to go....so very sad. I just dont understand how people can do this, what that poor dog will have to go through to adjust at such an older age. poor baby. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I never really looked at it that way. From what she's explained to me the Yorkie is her husband's and Jamaica has been back and forth between the husband's parents, etc. I'm sure he has a bad case of separation anxiety because they say he always leaves presents behind when they leave their home and now that they have a baby. I don't understand it myself. I hope they do find someone that will help out.

| He is adorable, and I have rehomed dogs..it's not easy, but, I could NEVER have one 9 years and then rehome it because I had a baby..that little dog would have done with the baby, and it's good for babies to be raised with dogs...my kids had dogs around them all their lives, and now, they're all "dog" people...no way would my son and his fiance ever get rid of their 2 yorkies just because they had kids.. |

| rehome I agree, but he'll be better off somewhere else in the long run if that's the way they feel about him. These little guys are amazing and can adapt to new owners and surroundings surprisingly well. I came across a family wanting to give away a one-year-old Bichon because they have three kids and said they can't handle the maintenance expenses. Their kids aren't triplets, so they had to have at least two of them when they got the dog. Can't understand it at all! Now in their defense, they may be suffering in this economy. I don't know what their situation is. Anyway, this little one went to a great new home where she is loved a lot and is very happy. I hope it works out the same way for this little guy. |
