I agree, but he'll be better off somewhere else in the long run if that's the way they feel about him. These little guys are amazing and can adapt to new owners and surroundings surprisingly well. I came across a family wanting to give away a one-year-old Bichon because they have three kids and said they can't handle the maintenance expenses. Their kids aren't triplets, so they had to have at least two of them when they got the dog. Can't understand it at all! Now in their defense, they may be suffering in this economy. I don't know what their situation is. Anyway, this little one went to a great new home where she is loved a lot and is very happy. I hope it works out the same way for this little guy.
