Florida Male Yorkie needs new home :( - YorkieTalk.com Forums

My sweet little Kipper will be 2 in September. He is an 11 pound Yorkie that is sweet and lovable. He loves to snuggle. But he is so overprotective that he nips when visitors come to the house. He currently share a home with another Yorkie and a Chihuahua. He plays well with them both. He also gets along well with a 9 year old child.

His aggression is with anyone that comes in the front door-even if he has known them before. He would do best in a home that is not so busy. Our home has 8 people, with friends, constantly coming and going. Kipper would do best in a quiet home, with someone who can give him the attention he loves. I hate to do this.........but Kipper is just too nervous around so many people and would be much happier in a quieter home. I know I'll cry when he leaves.......

I won't let him go to just anyone. I do have an adoption fee. He will also have to go with his crate and favorite pillow. He loves his "house". He is somewhat housetrained, but is accustomed to wearing his belly band. He is neutered and micro-chipped and up to date on his shots.

Kipper is located in Vero Beach, FL.....

He's absolutely adorable!! I just love him

Yes, be very particular about where he goes. I do know of a few yorkie rescues that may be an option for you as well...

He looks so sweet, I'm sure you'll have no problem re-homing him!!

Have you even thought about using a trainer /behavior trainer. You might not have to get rid of him. Sounds like he fits in your home just fine. He just needs some training when others come over. I wouldn't give up on him if you love him so much. Try to get him the help he needs to overcome the friends coming in.

oh no! Finally a yorkie for adoption in my area (central Florida) but I work in a dorm at an Academy (I live in an Apartment within the dorm and monitor the dorm) so lots of friendly faces around and I believe it would make him too worked up (there are 18 girls on the floor and while they wouldn't be around all of the time, there are times when they will enter my apartment to talk and such). I hope he finds a wonderful home! I also hope you are doing okay there in Vero Beach, I know you guys got a lot more rain then we did.

How do I find someone that can help that I can trust?
A local rescue called me. The lady will retrain him, but then he goes to another home....I want him back! I must be crazy...........Yup I'm crazy about my dogs

what is the update on your little boy? I live in punta gorda fla..i used to live in sebastian fla just north of vero..i have a 13 year old little 5 lb girl.. I am in your area quite often as i have accounts in your area..medical sales..
