Have you even thought about using a trainer /behavior trainer. You might not have to get rid of him. Sounds like he fits in your home just fine. He just needs some training when others come over. I wouldn't give up on him if you love him so much. Try to get him the help he needs to overcome the friends coming in.

How do I find someone that can help that I can trust?
A local rescue called me. The lady will retrain him, but then he goes to another home....I want him back! I must be crazy...........Yup I'm crazy about my dogs
