| I am sooooo sorry we have not been able to update. Calls were made this morning on our way to show a house & work. So, now I am back at a computer. I talked to the shelter this morning & they said she had been tagged by Kare rescue there in Springfield. I have left a message at Kare about maybe us taking her in.... but I highly doubt that will happen. Good thing is... she is going to a rescue. Thank you to everyone for your concern. BUT..... we do have one we are trying to retrieve from Irving, Tx... I will get an update on that situation later as well. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

| Thank you for the update, I am glad some one has saved her, and I'll be checking back to see what happens with the one in Irving.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I know it is really impossible to save them all but if I ever won the lottery I would give it a shot. I hate to see puppies not even have a chance. Before my current dogs I got all my dogs from the shelter, one just hours before he was going to be put down because he was 2 big. I had him for 14 years, he was a wonderful lab/shepard mix. I donate to rescue groups ASPCA, HSUS, and many more, but is just is never enough is it..

| Not Tagged. I just looked on the site just now and I do not see this little Yorkie tagged by CARE. It does not show that he has been tagged at all yet. I posted awhile back about this place. From what I know and understand they do not adopt out and they do not allow any rescues but I think 4 to take the animals. Now there is a woman named Laticia that is in that area and she has a shelter. I spoke with her about the six Yorkies she had that someone thought were going to be put down. She told me that the dogs in need were at this place that the original OP posted about. She also said if there were any that I or my rescue wanted to let her know and she could help pull them. The rescue does have to be licensed though. If you go under my posts you will see where I mentioned her name and there is a number and link. I'll try to find it and post. PLEASE make sure this guy has been taggged becasue as of right now it is not showing that he was. Elaine |

| Who To Get In Contact With Hi guys pertaining to the little Yorkie or any other dogs that you spot and may want to adopt or rescue. The person to call for help is Laticia Duffy. I spoke to her awhile back. As I said this place does not adopt out and it does not allow any rescue but the four listed to pull the dogs. Laticia told me awhile back if there was a dog or dogs of interest to call her and she would try to help out. Your rescue does have to be licensed. Anyway, her contact info. is below. | Hi My name is Kellie. One of my best friends was an Army Doctor. He has recently finished his time in the Army and has moved back home to get married and start his own practice. Yippee for him, However; sad for me. I not only miss my friend, I miss my "Buddy" which was his Yorkie that stayed with me as much as he did at home. Anyway I am looking for a yorkie to adopt or purchase for a small fee. I realize that these loving creatures make fortunes for people, but I dont have a fortune to spend. You see I have never bought a dog or cat. I normally rescue from shelters. My mixed breed 5 yr old Duke is a rescue and he misses Buddy too. I have looked and searched into rescues and shelters as well and they too want hundreds for Yorkies. Anyone out there with any suggestions. Thank you so much for your time. Sincerely, Kellie Kellie LaMonte is online now Report Post Reply With Quote Not hundred or so, Hundreds. I am very aware of vet bills as I have just spent over $3000.00 in vet bills for my mixed breed Duke. He actually is quite famous! He has been in paper, on news, internet and fliers everywhere. He was stolen by a cop. He went missing 2 days before my husband deployed and was gone for 8 months. On the day my husband returned home for his 2 week R&R, we got a call that Duke had been found. He returned home to us with injuries that required several surgeries. He is doing wonderfully now and is healing well. Hopefully we will not have to amputate. I am just hoping to find someone that has a yorkie that needs a wonderful, caring, loving, christian home. Again We as well as Duke just really miss our friend. Hoping to add an addition to our family. Thank you for your reply. I think that maybe my first post was confusing. I have fostered and rescued, searched and found many loving homes for many furry friends. I have paid for vet bills without reimbursement or donations. I have transported them as well. I have never owned a Yorkie or fostered one if you will. I was Buddy's aunt if you will. Well more like his Mom. Never new a thing about the breed before, as bigger dogs always stole my heart. However with taking care of Buddy, I have learned much about Yorkie's, their behavior and their medical needs. Again...Looking for friend...Missing my Buddy!! | Ok... I have sent an email & called already this morning. She is usually in by 10 but is having car trouble this week so it will be around 10. I will try her back around 1015 & see if she is there.
