A couple of questions about these.......first, with the D ring so far down on the belly area, will it not pull the top down when the dog pulls on the leash and also cause the entire thing to slide down? When I made a dress harness for the first time, I put the D ring too far down on the dress and because of that, you wouldn't be able to control the dog because the dog became very top heavy and it was like putting a collar around the dogs middle to lead it. You also couldn't pick the dog up by the dress harness without having the dog upside down.
Anyway..........I'm just curious as to how the bikine keeps from sliding down.

I have found just the opposite to be true. Maybe it depends on the individual pup? My experience is with the "D" ring at the mid-to-bottom of the rib cage area ensures that there is no pressure on the neck if you need to quickly lift up your baby. The harness doesn't slide at all if secured snugly. And Sissy has a large rib cage, yet she isn't top heavy nor turns upside down.

I have a question.... is it ok that it is around the neck? I have no clue but I am new and try to gather info. I made sure and got my grandbaby Lola a harness instead of a collar because they are supposed to be safer. Your swimsuits ar absolutely adorable and I cant wait to order. She'll just love it!

Unless you are getting a step-in harness, almost all the others do go around the neck. It is the way they are made that actually takes pressure off the neck. If you notice, it is pretty low on the back of the neck, almost lying on the shoulder blades. That is another reason the "D" ring is low as well. Hope this helps!!
