| I've seen them for that price on ebay too but I've never seen any that wouldn't need a pad in it...I am going to take the opportunity to stress how much I love using human baby diapers...I buy the off brand in a size two and they are CHEAP and DISPOSABLE...no washing required is the BEST part Here is Charlie and Bailey in theirs... I LOVE them!

| Stewie is prone to getting urinary tract infections, so I am not even supposed to use belly bands on him. My vet said the best thing would be to get a natural fabric like cotton if I have to put belly bands on him :/

| Don't you think the diapers would work? They are really absorbent and the pee stays away from their skin....Bailey can tell when his is wet though and it's the funniest thing to see him try to take it off How do dogs get urinary tract infections??

| How come you dont want to use a pad inside it? I mean will that be worse on his urinary tract infections? Im just wondering so I can help think of a solution for you I line my belly bands in fleece so they are more absorbant and softer but Im not sure wether thats the right kind of fabric you would want. I think Jodi makes hers so there is an extra absorbant layer in her bellybands.

| I was thinking that I would try to make some for my Petey. I think I'll buy some cotton diapers to fill the inside of the band, that way they can be washed. Why don't you try the same thing. |

| I bought some on eBay - 2 for 10 free shipping They're filled with batting I guess with a cotton fabric on the outside. He doesn't ever pee on them, so I am not worried about it being super duper absorbent. I try to only put natural fabrics on him to prevent potential irritation. Dogs get UTIs when bacteria gets stuck or pushed onto their penises and it gets pushed back up their urthera somehow.

| I got these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1 BELLY BANDS If you have a male fur-baby who feels the need to mark his territory (especially indoors!) these Belly Bands may be your easiest solution. Perhaps he just needs the luck of the Irish to help him. The bands are 3 layers thick. The top layer is an Irish-themed cotton to make your boy look snazzy. The under layer is a soft flannel so his skin will not become irritated, and in the center is a layer of high-loft batting to help with extra absorption. Like human babies, dogs do not like to feel the wet against their skin. They should soon figure out that no marking = no wet feeling. In the meantime, your furniture and floors are protected. The bands are also useful in housebreaking male puppies. (It’s very important that you remember to remove the belly bands when you let your dog go outside.) You are bidding on 2 bands which are 18"long and should fit a dog who’s “waist” measures about 16". (Measure around the dog, including his “critical area.”) The bands can be adjusted slightly in either direction. If you need a different size, please let me know. They are machine washable and can be tumbled dry on low. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO KANINE KIDS, AN ATLANTA AREA DOG RESCUE GROUP www.kaninekids.com

| Just a thought, I think that a good brand diaper or maxi pad are made to pull moisture away from the body. I think just using a belly band that has cotton or flannel would keep the moisture right up against his skin. I find that batting actually repels water. |
