| Thanks Natasha we appreciate that, We do actually have belly bands that dont require pads to be used inside of them, Much easier this way, they can be machine washed and dried just like anything else, the part that does the work is what inside the band that you dont see, It is a thick absorbent material that helps absorb like a babies diaper does, but at the same time you dont have to toss it in the trash afterwards are bands range in price from $4.00 to 6.50 each, you can also choose your own fabric from the fabric pages, shipping is free within the usa. and all yorkie talk memebers also recieve a discount of 10% percents on all orders of 20.00 or more. If I can help you at all with it, Just let us know, Rena www.barkindogclothes.com is the website and the page there on is the misc fun items page. |

| Ok, this may seem silly but I have a question about the belly band and how it works for training? My miko is really good about going outside to pee pee (of course if someone takes him regularly) At night he does pee pee on the pee pee pads. But during the day, he will make a mistake or two if you don't take him out, or course, I was thinking of buying some belly bands should I just have him wear a belly band during the day, in between taking him outside? Do the belly bands make him hold his pee? and is that good for him? PS: Miko is 1 year 5 months and he is not neutered

| I use them on Roger my yorkie when we go to other peoples homes so he doesnt mark on things, And he has learn that when he has one on he doesnt even try to hike his leg, Because he realized after afew times he wasnt getting anywhere with doing it with the band on, But the minute I take the band off and try him out he goes straight to marking as normal. So basically they shouldnt be used for really long periods of time, with a puppy it would help in training, use them for a small short of time, but I really wouldnt suggest for really long periods of time. | I tried everything because I couldnt get a belly band right away. So I took one of my socks and put one of my daughters mini pads in it and pinned it around him. What I found was at wallmart they sold a Fleece blanket (baby) for 1dollar. I took It home and cut it up and sewed some belly bands. I just stuck that sticky velcro on them and sewed and extra layer in the middle and stick a mini pad in it. It works great. Only problem with those bands is my Harley pees whenever he feels like it if he has them on. When he needs to go pee pee. He will usually grab at his pee pee , like woo I think I have to pee. with the pad on He just goes. So I am trying to save them for going away. He will go and I dont know it . I like to know what the deal is. He is one stubborn boy. |

| Week before last I ordered belly bands from Joy at Furbaby Boutique. You measure your pup and send the measurement along in the comments section of the order page. She charges $5/band and they are great. I just attach a self-adhesive pantyliner and we're set. |

| I don't like the idea of my dog wearing a maxi pad. They're very irritating and cause UTI's in male dogs.

| As one who uses belly bands for my Male and has sold many... I have never heard of any such thing.. I am sure that it could happen if the person was irresponsible and never changed but as long as the pup is kept clean there should be no problem. Its no different than a baby peeing in a diaper. If anyone is intestested I sell them on my site for $5.00 apiece.. FREE Shipping.. They work Great and they are truely a house and furniture saver.. |

| I bought a couple "stacks" of the smaller thinner wash clothes and use them all the time. I fold them them over - (in an elongated fashion) wrap them around my pup and pin them with a diaper pin. (I wrap these around my pup quite tightly because they are folded on the bias - and will become loose quickly if I don't wrap them tightly to start with.) I change them often. (everytime I feel they are damp). I might change them 4 times in an hour - and then he'll go 3 or 4 hours without peeing. Go figure! Anyway I just throw these in the laundry with the rest of my wash. I have about two dozen of these and never run out. They cost almost nothing and are easy to use. I especially like them because they are very flat and don't look bad (and come in a lot of different colors) - plus if he wears them under clothes - you don't even know they're there. You could easily fold in a mini pad or something if you want to add some extra absorption. My pup wears these all the time when he's running around the house and doesn't mind wearing them at all. I love them!!!! Carol Jean |

| Belly bands Okay havent got to come on in a while, so gotta check in all, Hope all is doing well! We have FINALLY started getting some much needed rain here. It was absolutly pretty today, Althought i was stuck inside working! We actually sell belly bands on our website that dont use pads on the inside, unless oyu wnat to put one in them, But there not needed. We use a fabric on the inside of them called absorbent, it pulls the wetness away from the fur and skin, like a babies diaper does. machine washed and dryer safe. And you can actually choose any of the materials except veloures and t-shirts fabrics. we have listed to have them made form, they adjust by velcro to fit sizes xsmall to large in size. They range in price form $4.00 to $6.50 and shipping within the usa is free, and all yorkie talk memebers also recieve a 10 percent disocunt on all orders no matter what the size of the order is. This is what I have found with the bands, Being that we make them and sell them, I have seen them either work for a dog or not, I really think it depend son your dog, Some dogs get bad habits form using them, But then some dogs it works like a charm, I think it is like one of those things you hear about while so and so tried potty training with this trick and it worked great, But when you try it it doesnt work. i think it is like one those situations, I sell them alot to the vet clinics because of pets that tend to lick on there privates when they shouldnt to teach them not to, To help with potty training. and in my Rogers case he never hikes at home, But let me come to your house and the first thing he will do is hike! If he has the band on he doesnt even try, If I forget the band or try to gone on the honor system, He says Hum mom's not to smart today, nd he is heading for the first wall or chair leg. Men! LOL Another thought someone mentioned the pads causing an issue on the skin, that is true, I have seen this at the vet clinic here locally several times, It is the deodorants in them that does it most of the time, So if your using a band they does require the pads, maybe get the scent free pads. Just a thought. |
