				   | I've been thinking a lot about this subject lately. I've used frontline twice on Otis and he's reacted both times. He gets anxious, scratches a lot, and looks at things on the ground that arent' there. A good friend of mine who is also a YTer just put revolution on her puppy and he had a reaction too. So I'm not sure what to use next. I would think if they had a bad reaction to one they would probably react badly to all of them. If you do a search you can find a lot more info on who uses which products. Good luck!!! And Welcome to YT!

				   | You can bathe the dog in a little regular Dawn dish soap to kill the fleas that are on her...As far as flea preventatives go, there are many, many products out there, so you will get differing opinions on this...But I would stay away from Hartz or any products like that. I also do not recommend using a flea shampoo.

				   | Yes, Dawn merely kills the fleas that are on your dog, so you will need to follow-up with something. And if there are fleas inside your house, you will need to get rid of them so that they don't jump on your furbaby and continue to bite. Do a search on here for the different flea preventatives out there. There are a ton of threads regarding the various products and also natural ways to keep fleas off of them when they go outside.

				   | I use Revolution. I order it through Dr.Foster and Smith, but you have to get a prescription for it. |

				   | In my opinion, it's good to use a shampoo like Minksheen when you bathe them or an all natural spray before they go outside because that will keep mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, etc away So, yes, I think the Minksheen is a good idea

				   | Revolution is great. It's worth going to the vet for the prescription.

| Therapy Dog Donating Member | Hi - our vet swears by Revolution and he uses this on all his pets. Well worth the trip and $$ for it - takes care of fleas and heartworm both at the same time.

				   | Hi; My Shaq has been on frontline plus for a long time, and it helped, until this summer came with a lot more flees in the ground and it stoped helping, not only that but it looked like his skin was getting even more irritation from the frontline plus, so i switch to Revolution, that did not help at all the flees were back on him within a day. he has been itching like crazy, i did treat the house, but when he walks out he picks them up and brings them back home, today i took him to a new vet and he said that the difference between revolution and frontline and advantage is the with revolution the flees can bite him and die after where as with frontline and adavatage they will die before they bite him, so he recommended to use advantage with Program which is a pill i have to give him once a month until the flee season is over. so i am going to try that. |

| It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | My vet says FRONTLINE. But I was worried about the size of it. Good for dogs up to 22#????? So he sold my the Frontline Spray. One pump for every 3# of dogs. Seems like a good idea for people like me with all kinds of dogs. two are 3# one 9# one 18# one 135# (how many pumps is that anyway?) Will let you know how if works after they've had it on awhile.
