Easy Yard Clean Up! I found this awhile back & thought I gotta have it. You dig a 4ft hole & insert it down in it then you scoop the poo, raise the lid by stepping on the petal & wa la. But I dont like how the poo has to sit in there. So I am cutting out the bottom & letting it fall down to the dirt where it will dissolve & adding enzymes weekly to speed it up. You could take a 5 gallon bucket w/lid, cut the bottom out, dig the hole to fit all for about $5 or $10. I think its a great idea to keep your yard clean w/o making your trash man hate you. Anyways thought I would share. I bought the real thing which my husband will have to modify because I dont like the way it is suppose to work , It is basically a bucket w/lid & no bottom. As long as its 200ft away from water sources. See it here Last edited by rachelsyorkie; 02-24-2007 at 03:18 PM.

| So does it really work?? Are you happy with the results?? I saw this a long time ago and thought it was a great idea. I am planning on getting one when we move so it will be easier to clean up the yard. I am so tired of putting their waste in bags and putting them out for the garbage man to pick up. I will probably get the biggest one since we have 8 dogs. Do the enzymes work good and does is leave a strong smell??

I think it will stink if you use it the way it comes. I had my husband cut the bottom out, so then it goes straight down 4 ft, we kinda use it as a composter, drop the poo down in & then add some ridex. Because the way it actually is suppose to work with the water would have to stink & be so much extra work. The way we did it is less mess, easier & would probably be fine for 8 dogs, you might just dig 5 or 6 ft instead of 4. The ridex will get rid of the waste fast. I really like it.

Mine only poop in the mornings, so I'm behind them with a little zip loc bag and then straight to the outside garbage can. buying large containers, digging holes for it and then buying enzymes to put on the poop is just too much trouble and expense for me to even consider.

My dogs poo twice a day, plus I have friends dogs that come over, my driveway is 300 ft long & I use to bag & trash but the smell. With it being in the ground 4ft down, plus dirt doesnt hold odor like a trash can does. I used this method before I got this product to try it out. I just dug a hole with post hole diggers & put a board over it as a lid at first, it worked out-no smell so I went ahead and bought this $40 lid . But we are country & like digging holes one hole is easier for me then walking down a 300 ft driveway on ice, in rain, waving at my neighbors w/a baggy of doo doo,lol & running to hide so you dont have to see the look on the trash mans face. But I guess it does depend on your living situation & whats easier for you.
