If you don't need a gate that bends, there's this one: All Clear Swing Gate. It's all plastic so there's no footholds for them to climb up it...

Thanks I was thinking about some thin plexiglass, I wonder if it's expensive or difficult to cut to size as it tends to crack. We actually had to do this for my daughter's crib so she couldn't climb out.

Mine is a superyard also, in fact I have two. I love it, except that 2 of my 3 can climb out!!!

I am sorry, but I had to laugh when I read that you have tripped over it a few times! All of our family with small kids and dogs have the superplayyards and we have all tripped fell and cursed at them from time to time. My husband caught his back foot on it trying to get out and I heard a crash! thud and then groan! He had fell and threw my pasta dish down the hallway shattering into pieces and there were a few pieces of pasta hanging around and the dogs of course were excited that dad had decided to share with them, so they were trying to get to the pasta while he was laying there. All I could do was ask are you okay? before I started laughing at the sight of it all.
My SIL fell over hers and ended up sliding across the kitchen and landing in front of the stove. Her macaw saw her fall and yelled UH-OH! So you see, I guess thise people who want a gate are just a little bit better off. But they won't have as much amusement as I have had!
I am only 5' 2" so my reach is short also.

I was wearing heels one day with POINTY toes and the toe caught one of the openings that was interesting LOLI was just afraid I was gonna fall on Brandi.......but thank god I didn't......I'm 5'3"
