| pet stairs Could someone recommend good and cheap pet stairs? I bought the one from TV from CVS Pharmacy, but it is not tall enough. My bed is 26 inches from the ground and she jumps off of it. I'm afraid she's going to hurt herself. Thanks! |

| I ordered doggie stairs off of ebay a few weeks ago. I purchased the cheapest ones I could find (like $12) and they were listed as being made out of foam. Unfortunately, when I received them I noticed they were made from "styrofoam". They work great and my Gus absolutely loves them (he feels all independent now!), the only bad thing is that they don't look that great. Also, mine are only 16" tall, but you can get them taller I believe. I would suggest looking on ebay there are all kinds for all price ranges with many different heights. The ones I got weren't on there for a long time b/c I had searched for weeks and didn't want to spend $80....then this seller posted several and I bought them immediately! Good luck! |

| Thanks! I will try ebay. I tried the one from Target and they only go about 1/2 way to the bed, so it is too short. I will keep trying. |

| Hmm, I got Stump's at Walmart, and they had I think a 3 stair and a 4 stair. Stump's is a 3 stair, and it's too short for my parent's bed, but from the top stair he can hop up onto their bed. How many stairs is yours? |

| I bought a corduroy ottoman from target that I use for the living room area. Chloe jumps on that to get to the couch. You might try somethign like that. Otherwise I have seen lots of really nice pet stairs in the New York Dog magazine including some beautiful handmade wooden stairs and they have all differents sizes but they cost quite a bit more.

| Mine is 3 stairs and you can pay $14 more for an additional stair. With the additional stair, they are not tall enough for her to not have to jump down to reach the first stair. I don't think Rosie will use it if she has to jump down to reach the first stair, so I was looking for a taller one. Thanks for everyone's reply. |

| I got some from Target that I posted a picture of last year. Here's the link... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ght=pet+stairs They work great and the top step is a storage bin where I store brushes, treats, etc. Do a YT search for pet stairs and quite a few threads come up. Maybe you can get some ideas there.

| I had to get the more expensive wooden stairs (4-stairs) that are carpeted. It is just an inch below the bed, which if I remember correctly is 27 inches tall. Kacee runs up and down as fast as she can when she's playing. I'd be afraid something lighter would tip with her and there would be an avoidable accident. Forever paranoid...

| I did a search before I posted, but many of the threads had the one I got that is on TV. The others were not tall enough. How high are the stairs that you have? I like those. Quote:

| Each step is about 6" so they go up the 2 steps and it's about another 8" to the top of the bed... even less for the one by the couch. Now if I could just get them to use them everytime they go down! I hate to see the jump...

| I just bought a 6 stair from Petsmart but I'm irritated because it's not online, otherwise I'd show it to you! It's a plastic one-piece in beige with carpet pads on each step, and only $39. It's hollow on the inside, so I actually put the steps over my existing stepstool so that it wouldn't tip over when Google ran up them. It goes all the way up my bed, and my bed is pretty high off the ground! |
