I had to get the more expensive wooden stairs (4-stairs) that are carpeted. It is just an inch below the bed, which if I remember correctly is 27 inches tall. Kacee runs up and down as fast as she can when she's playing. I'd be afraid something lighter would tip with her and there would be an avoidable accident. Forever paranoid...
