Looking for a good harness....

I use the lupine harnesses and love them they are soo easy to take on and off I dont have to put it over his head because they have two snaps. They are great and guranteed forever.

No it doesn't - the pressure is on the waist area. I once had to pick up one of mine in a hurry (big dog was coming at us) and all the weight of the dog was on the waist part. When I walk them, again the leash pulls on their waist.

I understand your hesitancy about the harness ones with velcro. I was nervous about them too! Ginger is 12 lbs and can be come very excited by the squirrels, bunnies and birds in our neighborhood. Finally, we bought one from Shana (tinkerbell's closet), and I tried it around the yard for awhile. Then on a sidewalk on a quiet street, finally, I began to trust it! It's held up really well. When I take it off of her I do close it up so that the velcro is not exposed, and I check the velcro out each time before we use it. I liked it so much I just purchased another from Connie (also on YT) and it's beautiful and also holds up incredibly well!

When I just want a regular harness, I use LUPINE. They're easy to put on and off once you get them adjusted, and are VERY durable. Also, keep the tags, because if they get damaged in anyway (even chewed) they'll replace them for free.

This website has the perfect harness for these little guys. I have bought harnesses from Joy for the last year from 2# to 11# and have never had a problem. Many colors and she will customize them as necessary.
