Best comb/brush for matts? I was planning on getting a CC buttercomb but hadn't realized that you need to buy the handle separate from the comb -- that's $45 for a comb, which seems like a lot to me. Are the buttercombs really that much better than other combs? Would a CC brush be enough to get matts out on its own? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I Think the CC brushes I have purchased are worth every penny, even if they are expensive. they have helped with my malteses' mats so much. I have the Mark II slicker brush, which is great for mats, but don't use it if you want to grow their hair. you might want to call CC or e-mail them with your concerns and they might be able to recommend the right brush/comb for you.

Sorry for my ignorance :( Sorry to have to ask, but what does "CC" stand for? Thanks in advance! Charlotte (and Valentino)
