Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | ?regarding Car Harness Has anyone here used the car harness for riding in vehicle? It hooks onto the seat belt. I bought one for Baby Blessing but haven't used it yet. I think it is a great idea but the only one I have seen is this one from Pets Mart, it is rather heavy. I appreciate someones feedback that may have used it on their yorkie. The one I got is called Comfort Ride TRAVELIN'DOG it is small size but looks like it will be too big so I may have to take it back, would like to get one that isn't so bulky and heavy. | Petedge.com has them a lot cheaper and have them small enough for yorkies. I think it is great to hook them in. Even with shipping I think it is cheaper at Petedge, unless you are like me and buy more.

| I use a car harness for Joey (alternating with his car seat, depending on how far we are going). I really like it! Unfortunately, I got ours in England so I can't help you with brands.

| I use car seat harnesses that clip into the seat belt clip. They're great! Keeps my babies safe in the event of an accident. I also like using the Celltie Backpak-O-Pet as a car bed. Just slip the seat belt strap through the seatbelt loops on the bag, and they have a safe bed for a long trip. It has a strap inside the bag that clips to their harness. |

| I have the one from petsmart and we love it,both of my yorkies love to ride in the car,and in the summer my convertable comes out,top goes down, and off we go..I feel it is safe with them attached to the seat belt, and they love the wind in there hair..but of cource we never stay in direct sun..yes,they seem a bit heavy, but neather have acted like it bothered them,I even use it when I take them in the suv,but they prefer topdown days..wish we had topdown days rather than the snow that keeps falling today |

You can't put them in a car seat without a harness but you can use a harness without a car seat.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | The car seat harness that I bought for Baby Blessing has the imitation sheep skin padded front on the chest side to cushion sudden stops in vehicle, the one I got at Pets Mart I shortened it all the way up, and it seems like it will work fine, so I shall try it next time I go in the vehicle. I am wanting to get a booster car seat, but haven't looked at them cept at Pets Mart and they didn't seem to have the harness. Someone posted back that you have this harness like I bought and even though it is heavier you like it, maybe this one is best. iI sure is well built and the straps are thicker, I can see it would be nice and strong and really secure. Thanks for posting back to me on this post. Patti and Baby Blessing |

| the car harness that hooks into the seat belt was the first that I tried. the one with the sheep skin. It was too heavy for mine. but i did use the strap that was with it and hooked it right into their regular harness. that came in handy. I also have the car seats and was never able to get ahia to stay in hers. buckeye was no problem. If your yorkie has not got much interest in looking out the window all the time the seat belt is a good idea. In my way of thinking.
