| front bike baskets Hi everyone! I am looking to purchase a front basket for my bike so our Roxie can go bike riding with us. She is almost 5 pounds, but is long for a Yorkie. Any suggestions? I am looking for a comfortable one for her. |

| Any good basket will do. Just put a pad in it and I hooked my Gina in with a bunge cord. Saved her once from flying out when a brat steered her bike right in front of my bike and I had to hit the brakes hard.

| So true! When I went biking with Scottie in the front basket, I was constantly stressed out because of all the people and cyclists around. If not hooked in, he could fall. If hooked in, he could choke (not really choke, since he wears a harness, but you get the idea). You just got to be very very careful. And make sure you train him to sit still...

| Bicycle Basket I have tried many things as my small ones have been bicycling with me for 30 years. This one works and comes with a clip to hook to harness or collar and a rain cover which also doubles to keep wind and cold out. Not cheap but very well made. I use them for years with no issues. 3-in-1 small pet dog puppy bicycle basket, car seat and hand carrier bag with | eBay |

| Go to any craft store and chose the basket that your baby can lie down in comfortably and deep enough to get out of the wind. Remember, you have to put a pad in there also. Put a harness on your pup and a short harness strap that will only let him/her sit up comfortably, not stand on 2 legs. Look for the basket that is flat to the wall on one side, it will fit to the handlebars better. Good luck! |

| I really don't like the baskets that are just hooked up to the handle bars... made me nervous because they're just not stable as it interferes with steering. It felt as though I was fighting against the weight of my dog whenever I manuvered around an obstacle, and unless my 13 pounder kept perfectly still thoughout the ride I can feel the steering being thrown off a bit whenever he shifted. My advice is to get a basket that mounts to the front fork of the bike AND the handle bars. It made a huge difference. Just go to your bike shop and they should be able to help you.
