| collapsible X-pens question Good morning, Is there a fabric pen, collapsible for travel and storage, that holds up to a determined escape artist? I was looking on Amazon, but there are so many, I though I would ask here. Thank you! |

| I think I named this thread incorrectly, not really an x-pen, but just a collapsible pen Does anyone have recommendations? I travel a lot in the summer, and would like to find the right one soon. It would make things easier if I had a safe and comfortable place for him in rooms and cabins away from home. I would like to have it now, so he could get used to being in it, and if there were any problems with it, I could deal with them when we aren't on the road. I need it to collapse, as my car is very small, so a regular crate would be too bulky. I can see this is going to be like travelling with a baby, sigh.. I just ordered a booster car seat, and yes, that is pretty bulky, but I want him safe and happy. Thanks! |

| We take an x-pen with us on all our vacations. It is perfect for putting our pups in, while we go out to eat, etc. I know my girls cannot escape, if a maid or someone else were to come in the room/rented house for whatever reason. We also use it to block off decks and porches as needed when we are out on the deck. It does fold up flat, but it is big, so we put it in first then put our suitcases on top. Hope you find something perfect for your needs.

| I have this pet tent. It's 33" diameter and it has a screen top. It collapses into a little carrying bag. I really like it. I keep one set up also because a couple of my dogs like to go in and out of it. Amazon

| We use the wire xpens a lot. Occasionally we use a softsided playpen in the RV if needed, but we do put wire ties on the zipper openings to keep them closed because Shelby & Seeger know how to unzip them. Here is a pic of one similar to what we have. We bought ours from petsmart. I don't know if it would keep an escape artist from getting out... but it works for my 3 if we need it. pPETNA-5163322_main_r200.jpg

| Oh, great tip re. the twist ties! I drive a little fiat, and my wire pen will not fit I want to find the right pen that collapses for trips. I don't want my little monster getting in trouble while traveling. Thank you for all the help with this His booster car seat came yesterday, from Amazon. We tested it out, and I think it will work out very well. It is the Snoozer Luxury II, and it matches my car interior (I know, I know, silly, but pleases me) I will look for the right 'carry bag' for him also. I noticed (in another thread) that people like the Sherpa, but I hope to find something that looks more purse-like. I love suggestions, so thanks |
