| Advantix II and a worried mom I found your site because I had asked a question regarding my dog and her side effects after applying Advantix !! flea and tic. They were old posts but they did help me as well as concerned me and was wondering if anyone could help me with my concerns. Firstly since I applied this medication to my dog Lady Bella she started acting like she was on amphetamine then is was like she ran out of energy and she would sleep. Along with that she would have these moments like spasms in her sleep she would jump up and sit and stare at me and just keep staring. I know this medication is a pesticide and it does get into the dogs blood steam. I attempted to wash it out of her she had two baths and she is still acting the same I am so upset. I spoke with my vet and all he keeps telling me is patience. This has been going on since Thursday and my patience is wearing thin. I know my dog and she has changed, it's like her spirit is gone she isn't whimpering or crying but I can see she is so uncomfortable. I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had the same problem and if so does it get better? I am beside myself with worry and not sure what to do. Should I consider taking her to a vet or wait it out. Please any information or help would be soooo appeciated |

| I have heard a side effect is it could make them feel like things are crawling on them but if she has been acting weird for several days I would go ahead and take her in to the vet.

| I stopped using that type of Flea/Tick on my Yorkie. It really irritated his skin and yes he did have a similar response, though I don't recall it being that severe. They now have a new type that they just eat as a treat that my vet says really works. I have not tried it yet but I talked to some people at the vets office that said they liked it. It was about $90 for 6 month tx. I also have home remedy that I'm trying. Will try to let you know how it works out. |

| Hello: What have you decided for the flea and tick protection? I was very incomfortable putting on my baby as well. (5.0 lbs). He did not seem to like it either and got the same hyper reaction - like very unsettled. I really do not want to use it, but he goes outside several times aday for walks. Thank you! Freddy and Gina |
