| I don't think they can go until they have all their shots. I got both of my girls past the puppy years so I'm not sure when that is. As far as age goes I guess it's up to you. My Rosie went for the first time at 7 months old.

| Are you sure he's had ALL his puppy shots and the rabies shot? I don't think they can all be done by 14 weeks. I'd wait until 2 weeks after he's had his last shot and defiantly wouldn't do it without the rabies shot (in case he bites the groomer). You might want to reconsider cutting the hair around his eyes, it'll lay nicely once it grows a bit more and will be much lower maintenance than cutting it. |

| A lot of groomers require that you have the Rabies certificate with you when you go in for the first visit, so you definitely have to wait until after that shot is given. Some also have "puppy" packages where they don't do a full groom, but bathe and do some maintenance grooming around sanitary areas and such -- it gives the puppy a chance to get used to going to the groomer without it being as traumatic event as it could be with a full groom. Best of luck to you! |

| We went for our 3rd visit for the vet and now we have all our shots. I'm not getting him groomed right now just trying to learn about it and what type of cut he should have. The (puppy) cut sounds good just trim and sanitary. If anyone has anymore idea's on what to tell the groomer or how to explain a cut to her please give me some advice. I'm a new mommy and love my little Gunner and want things to be done just right. Also, what does top knot mean? |

| I took Bailee last week (@18weeks) for the first time. They required the Rabies certificate. It was a first time get acquainted visit, they did a bath, clean ears, shave sanitary area, cut her hair around the eyes, cut nails. They told me that was enough for the first time. They also said that you do not want to do a full haircut on baby/puppy hair. Better to take them every 4 weeks to get used to it.
