I used pawz on ZoE too last winter. She did lift her paws up after each step in an exaggerated way for the first few minutes, but then she was walking just fine. I put them on just by themselves in rain/wet weather, but I put them on over socks in the winter to play outside in the snow.

I bought some pawz, how do you get them on if you're alone? I can't hold her with one arm and open the balloonlike pawz with the other to get them on her feet....grrrrrrrrrrr...she is a wiggler also, so she doesn't want me doing it....I also have some Muttluks for her, can't get them on by myself either....should I harness her up first, then try the pawz while she's standing??..any tips would be appreciated...thank you!

If your dog wriggles alot, you probably need two person to put it on or try putting her on a small table with some traction so she can stand still with all three paws still on the table while you are focusing on putting a boot on.

I roll her on her back, either on the couch or on my lap (just like I do to cut her nails) and put them on...and just like with the nail cutting, after she's been a good girl and let me do what I need to, she gets a treat.

It only took a couple of times for her to realize, there's no choice other than to cooperate, and there's a treat at the end of it. She runs to the kitchen & is sitting waiting for her treat before I can even get up & walk there.
