We feed ours Orijen and will continue to do so unless their tests come back questionable...which they never have.

Our Dollar Tree is located at the first shopping center where highway 101 and 299 intersect, there's a significant population of traveling homeless especially thay congragate there and pan handle, more than several times I've seen said people buying food for their dog(s) there.

I didn't know the dollar store sold dog food? I would definitely not trust anything there enough to feed to my dog.

Quality of your pets food and your food is of the utmost importance. You should always purchase the best that you can buy for both you and all in your family. I do not feed any animal or person anything that says 'made in china'. Chances are pretty good that the product that went into the making is so old that there is no nutritional value. To me that is a waste of $$ no matter how little it is.

Agreed, if I where homeless, though, and it was that or something out of the garbage can, I may do it. However, I hope if I where ever in that position I'd love my dog enough to try to find someone else who could give them better care then I! I know the homeless love their dogs, but when I see them sick, starving, and cold, knowing the owners are out in the cold instead of in a shelter for the same reason, I think of how much better off they'd both be if they could find some kind hearted person to take in their dog so that it could get proper nutrition and medical care!

Agreed,my pets have not always recieved the best out there,just the best that I could purchase. I have done without at times so everyone ate as well as we could.

I many have! I know there's been many times I've gone to eating rice and beans, Ramen, or something else cheap so I could afford good food for the dogs, vet bills, etc.

honestly, if thats all You can afford, its better than a Hungry Fur baby. But its not the best food for them by any means. It can come from China and have corn and by products in it. I feed My Mitsi Blue Buffalo. She loves it and it keeps Her coat shiney and Her happy

Dollar Tree pulled dog food it was recalled not sure why manager said some dogs got sick and died...it should ve restocked soon though.

If I had to feed food from the dollar store. I wouldn't have a dog. The cost of owning one would be to much for me if that was the case. JMO

I wouldn't buy it unless I had no other choice.

I've had to buy cheap pedigree and euroshopper dog food a few times when I had little money and couldn't go to a pet store, now I feed dog food that is cheap and better than those supermarket foods, but not the best food in the world though.
