| Best Handbag Carrier - Need help please I'm a new Yorkie Mommy (3 weeks!) and I've realized that I desperately need a handbag-type carrier. I've heard great things about the Kwigy-Bo Alex. However, I'm not sure that the Alex is quite my style. I was wondering if anyone has any feedback about the following bags: 1. BK Atelier "Mia" mia black | bk atelier 2. CeCe Kent Ralph "Taos" CeCe Kent Nantucket Dog Carrier - Luxury Pet Carriers, Designer Dog Carriers, Luxury Dog Carrier, Designer Pet Carrier Also, I can't afford a Louis and/or a Gucci...Does anyone have any experience with a "designer inspired" or a replica handbag? Thanks!!! |

| I would look at some of the other styles of KB bags. I have three, I also have a kundle which more like a sling. Good luck in your "shopping"

| The only thing about the designer knockoffs that worries me is where it's made. Otherwise... If you need a sneak sneak bag, I recommend a Kwjgy Bo, or another brand which I can't remember the name. (metro something?) they're $300+ so I've only admired them from afar. I'm actually thinking of getting my second KB. A large Alex luxe.

The KBs are available in bigger sizes though. My current yorkie is WAY too big for my CCK, so I use the KB. My last yorkie was 5-5 1/2 pounds throughout her life and she fit the CCK perfectly. Let us know what you finally go with & how you like it.

| I just ordered the "Argo by Teafco Petagon Airline Approved Pet Carrier" in Pink Loved the shape and the fact it can be used for air travel and also has a strap for the car seatbelt. Had great reviews on Amazon so I'll let you know how it is. Best part is it doesn't look like a carrier! |

| I too have a couple of KB Alex bags. While they aren't as nice as a leather bag, they have held up to years of wear and tear so far. I had to have the zipper replaced on my gold bag, but it was $15 and it's as good as new. I would love to get one of those CeCe Kent bags, but they aren't big enough for both pups, and I don't ever leave home without both dogs

As for LV or Gucci, you will be looking at $1200+ and they SCREAM dog bag. No sneaking in there. ETA: The BK, how do you find out the price, and the other angles, such as the side vents and inside?

| Thanks :) Thanks for all of the feedback! I'm leaning on the KB Alex - not the patent one. Everyone seems to love theirs. Although it probably isn't the best summer bag, I'm sure that it will be really useful. Riley - Riley is so adorable in his bag!!! The photos sold me on the Alex Noonie - I just realized that I don't have any info about the BK Mia. I did a web search & couldn't find an online retailer. So I emailed the company in Hong Kong. I'll let you know when I hear from them. I did find the BK "Karli" - BK Atelier Karli Black Carrier and the BK "Goldie" - BK Atelier Dog Carrier - Goldie Black for a reasonable price. So I'm assuming that the "Mia" is in the same range. And you're right...a Louis and/or Gucci would so scream doggie :/ Hope - I checked out the Teafco Petagon. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no pastel in my wardrobe & the carrier only comes in light blue or light pink. I did add the Teafco Tango to my Amazon Wish List though. Thanks for the tip! It almost looks like a gym bag I'll update when I make a decision. Thanks so much for the help! |

| I don't have one yet but the Alex Gold Lux is so pretty and looks like it would work. That will go on my wish list.

| I ended up going with this bag... Sophisticated Lady Dog Bag - AIN - GlamourDog.com It's affordable & looks pretty basic. It's due to arrive on June 4th I'm still searching for a more "summery" carrier.

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Floral Carrier Hi, Louise in Houston here. I am also a new Yorkie Mom. I found a gorgeous carrier (not a handbag type though) on Etsy and am waiting for it to come. Looks a lot like a Vera Bradley carrier, that I cannot afford. Should be nice for the summer months. https://www.etsy.com/transaction/82918744 Fabric Type: Butterfly Garden Print Size: Large Dimensions: 16" L x 10 1/2" H x 5 1/2" W Features: Our carrier is made of washable pre-quilted fabric. On the outside there are 5 pockets, 3 on one side and 2 on the other. The large pocket has a velcro closure, except in some older bags. Each end has a window made of pet screening. The carrier closes with a large plastic zipper across the top. The straps are approximately 28 inches long. Inside there is a removable, washable pad and a fabric sleeve with plastic canvas to help firm up the bottom. There is also a tether with a small leash clip. Fabric: We use pre-quilted cotton. The bags are completely lined and all seams are finished. The coordinating inner pad is either cotton or pre-quilted on one side and polar fleece on the other. Care: The carriers are washable, on the gentle cycle. Hang to dry. We cannot guarantee the pet screen in the dryer. Inner pad & sleeve are washable & can be machine dried. There are a few styles left and pricing is reasonable. |
