| Puppia soft vest harness, does it run big or small? Thanks! Hi ladies, I am getting ready to buy the puppia soft vest harness for Sheldon, I think I am going to go with the small, he is 15 weeks today and he weighs 3.5 lbs. Anyone has it and does it run true to size? Thank you! |

| Puppia Harness Size Chart The best advice I can give is to get a tape measure (if you don't have one they're probably $2 at Wal Mart) and measure him. The above link is a size chart for Puppia. Hope that helps!

| Thanks! I ordered the small through Amazon, I get the 2 day prime free shipping, if it doesn't fit I can always send it back. I'll measure him today after I find the measuring tape. |

| So I got it and it still big. I am going to order an xs and save the other one for when he gets older. Sheldon had his check up and he is only 3 lbs, I though he was heavier lol |

| I don't know which one you got but the step in vest harness is the one we have. The XS is great for a puppy. Gracie is in a S now. She was 4 pounds when first put her in the small and has gained a pound since. It does adjust somewhat. We have the mesh one and it does have some give to it. She was a puller when she was a puppy and the step in vest harness held her very securely. |

| Thanks! This is what I got in a small size Amazon.com: Puppia Vest Dog Harness Red Medium:... Sheldon went to the vet on Tuesday and he was 3 lbs, I am keeping the small because I know he'll grow into it. I just ordere an xs, just hope is not too small. How old is Gracie and how much did she weigh when she outgrew the xs. Thanks for the help! |

beacause i tried an xs in the petxo vest it fit great & xs in a different style and it was too big and a small in yet another style and it fit perfect. I guess the key is before you buy it try it on them if you can.

| @ Oscar's mom: I have seen those at petco but the xs looked so big. I'll have to take him there and try it. Just realized you said Oscar is 6 plus pounds, there is no way the xs is going to fit my Sheldon. @ Gracie's mom: Sheldon is 3 1/2 months, I am starting to think the xs is going to be too small. Sheldon is kind of long and lean. Last edited by Sheldonsmom; 03-08-2012 at 12:27 PM. |

| The XS is for a small puppy. When Gracie got to be 4 pounds we could hardly get it around her. It's hard for me to say without seeing your puppy. I know I had a hard time trying to figure out the measurements according to the info I found online. It seemed like everyone had different sizing info and the Puppia is made in either Canada or G.B. Is the small way too big for him? |

yeah, i guess the best thing would be to try it on . oscar is a small compact 6 pounds and on the thin side so maybe you will be in luck and the xs will will fit. good luck

| Gracies's mom, the small was big enough he was able to take one leg out, I don't feel safe taking him out like that. I am glad I only paid $14 for the small and the XS was $17, no shipping on both. Thanks Oscar's mom, I will try this weekend. |

| Did you wrap the velcro part really tightly around him? Once you get that nice and snug and then clip the top part they can't get out. But if it's loose then I'd be concerned. It is important to get the body wrapped really good and tight. |

| Yes I did and still he got out of it. It is very loose on the neck and leg area. |
