I ordered the 5 and 6 for Jackson... both fit, but the 6 was too big and the 5 is a bit smaller but I went with the 5... the 6 was just too bulky but the only thing about the 5 is it won't fit over really thick jackets unless I make another hole, which I considered getting someone to do. Right now he wears the size 5 on the biggest hole or the second to biggest hole. The 6, it had to be on the tightest hole to fit and it caused some bulkiness where the d-ring and the buckle went, it was odd. So anyways, that's why I went with the 5. I actually initially returned both and am glad I decided to give it another go a few months later.

Oddly enough, our size 6 was a much softer leather than the size 5. Unsure why exactly but it was. I still don't think it seems like it's the most comfortable thing in the world to be honest. I wouldn't leave it on him all day, like I would his Puppia.

My boys are just the opposite -- they will hang out in their Buddy Belts all day, but anything material, they want off right away. They will nap in the BBs, especially Max. I offer to take it off of him and he will walk away and lie down in his bed with it on.

Brit I'm kind of curious why you wouldn't leave it on all day, does it not fit right, or does it seem heavy? I haven't seen the larger sizes, but this just seems so light and fits so well on both of mine.

Hmmm, Zhoie was really young, I don't recall the color but I do remember it was shiny. Maybe I will try the light pink then.

Zhoie's chest is 12", when I look at the chart size 2 goes to 12". Should I order the size 3? Not how if a 2 has a couple more holes or if you go up a size.

I think it was on the website that sells buddy belts and it was their "special colors" not their regular tan, black and red. I just tried to find it, but now it says, "Not only is our leather durable, it softens and molds to the body for a custom fit", Buddy Belt Harness Special Colors. Anyway, maybe that's not where I saw it, and someone said that the pink was really soft, so I don't know.

No, it fits right... I dunno, it just seems like leather wouldn't be the most comfy thing. I know I wouldn't want leather, no matter how soft, under my armpits all day, LOL. I dunno, it's probably me more than him. He doesn't SEEM to mind it. But I guess when you are used to the Puppia which is mesh and very flexible, the BB just doesn't seem like it'd be a comfortable thing to have on all day around the house. It's not super stiff or anything, and not super heavy, but I dunno... I don't really leave any harness on him all day unless necessary. lol.

Lol, the way you describe it, it doesn't sound too comfortable. Maybe you just need more hair in the region?

Leather is all natural and unlike synthetics it breathes, so it's more comfortable than you think. Latex on the other hand . . .

Tena this is the one I have for Jada and Susan at Wetnose helped me out with sizing. Jada had to have the 3.5 Buddy Belt Classic Color Harnesses

Oh thanks Michelle, I didn't realize they came in 1/2 sizes. I will probably have to wait until Tuesday then and give her a call with Zhoie measurement.

Did you get a leash? If so, do you like it?

I have always used their 4' nylon leashes with the leather handle and I love them. Very easy to hold onto. I like that the loop stays open unlike a plain nylon leash, if that makes sense.
