| I agree! Your avatar of Taycie is just darling. It inspired me to learn how to use my camera in a similar manner.

| I thought it was a picture! I thought it was a accenting one color in the pic. Like in my avatar, I highlighted the brown from the paws on the house, and it also brought out the brown on Kaji's face. At least we can agree the model is very cute!

| Maci gets the worst eye boogies... not extreme, but gross enough. She is on RCYT28 so idk if it's her food since everyone says switching to this food helped. But she is in that awkward stage between long and short face hair. I plan on growing it all out so I don't have to keep trimming. So I'm hoping it's just her hair irritating her eye for the time being and nothing worse. I do everything to keep the hair combed down, but sometimes there's a chunk or two that is unruly!! Just wondering though... besides Gerber baby water what other brands do you use for water? I was told Aquafina by another member so I am going to try that if the boogies don't stop after the next month or so of her hair getting longer/out of the way.

I did notice the biggest improvement with the food, for Taycie. I am not sure changing her water "made" that much difference. But, if its working then we will use it! Her tear staining was a result of food allergies. Every dog is different. If the hair is irritating her eyes, It probably does have alot to do with the boogies.I would try something to help it while growing out. You can try Pet silk top knot gel and Vaseline that was mention previously and see if that helps.

| i have been dealing with the tear staining & thought it was "normal" for yorkies as my other dog doesn't have any. thank you all for this great info. i will definetly change the water as i have well water with culligan & still think its not right. i will also consider the food change. just one question what is the best way to clean the crusties. i just use warm water & a wash cloth, & ollie hates it so i usually just give up. now i am on a mission!! thanks again |

| Maci will not tolerate a washcloth either, and right now we are stuggling with teeth brushing, belly brushing, and the washcloth so I pick my battles. I stopped using the washloth and instead I hold her topknot/fly aways back with my hand and use my pinky to get any boogies off. If I notice it's really wet then I take a papertowel and dap real quick lol. Just make sure your hands are clean!

| A co-worker who has a Maltese told me to use Aquafina bottled water.... It has helped... but Riley's aren't really all that bad to begin with. |
