| Wendell's "Condo" After seeing these Iris brand pens on YT, I ordered one for Wendell. With the help of my neighbor, we have a configuration that is working out well, so thought I'd share it. It's comprised of 2 of the small Iris Plastic Pet Pens, and a 24 inch wire crate. It gives him plenty of room for his food, toys, and a wee wee pad tray and still has a private "den" to sleep in. I ended up with an extra panel, but by having two of the pens, it gives him a door at both ends. Here is a link to the pen: Amazon.com: IRIS Plastic Pet Pen CI-604: Pet... and here is one to the wee wee pad tray: Amazon.com: Floor Protection Tray Medium: Kitchen... | This is a great set up! I love the double door idea. He seems happy and content in there too.

| I love it! I would have to tape a piddle pad to the side. Kaji loves to lift his leg.

I posted the photos so that you can get an idea of how much room they have in this kind of pen. Wendell is 4.9 lbs, and this "double wide" gives him some separation between his sleeping, eating, and potty spaces. My DD would be so proud of your Kaji lifting his leg like a big boy! Wendell is 2 1/2 and still squats to tinkle. Last edited by addevo; 08-22-2011 at 03:43 AM. | |

He didn't always do that inside. He use to be good about squatting on his piddle pad, and lifting his leg outdoors. Kaji now insists on lifting inside too.

| Teddy lifts his leg too but the pee goes straight down so it doesn't really fall outside the pee pad. We also have the pee pad on a pee pad holder and I think it helps keeping it on the pee pad as well...not sure but it might work for you!

| We have a pee pad holder as well. I made the mistake of taking Kaji to a groomer, and well, he removed all of Kaji's peeper hair. Without a pee string, Kaji can't aim. He started soiling his front paws at every piddle. Solution, taping a piddle pad to the wall. He loves it! Now that his pee string is back, he refuses to squat again.
