My furkids Donating Member | question I want to buy an X-pen for the girls. I want the plastic one that you can add sections to. (They have them at PetEdge)....Does anyone here have this type? Is it cheap looking and flimsy? I'm not one that likes to order off the internet...I like to see what I am buying. Thanks everyone!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This is the one I bought for Pfeiffer's puppyhood: Walmart.com: Iris iri10374-Panel Indoor/Outdoor Pet Pen in White: Dogs I really like it bc it looks nice, it's solid though very lightweight. I bought the 4 panel, but it also comes in 8 panel.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm...I'm not entirely sure if you can extend them...although, it seems like you could bc the 2 parts of the 4-panel just kind of slide together (at the joint). So, maybe they'd be able to connect to the larger one? Does the larger one seem taller tho? If yes, maybe they wouldn't work together...

| I have this one: North State Superyard XT Portable Playard and Gate - Walmart.com and I think you can get extra pieces, but be warned, because of the mesh sides, they can learn to climb it which is what my dogs do, and it can pose some dangers in getting their feet/legs hung up, so I don't ever use it as a pen. If you have a climber I would not recommend this model. But it has become very handy to use it in pieces to block off rooms or areas of rooms I want to keep them away from.

| I have this one: North State Superyard XT Portable Playard and Gate - Walmart.com Hi, I also have a pen that is like the one above (with extra panels) that someone gave me. I find it bulky and cumbersome to move around. I use it in my back yard. We also camp, but we have never taken it with us because it is so bulky and would take up so much room. I have not had any trouble as of yet with either of my dogs trying to climb out of it, but I will be sure to watch more closely now that I know that some have dogs that do. |

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yes Lexi does and so does my daughters cairn. The others stay put. It is a little bulky but I have a big canopy I put over it and it works great for us. Of course the two have to be leashed or put in a kennel with a top

| I have the Iris...which while looks the best, is flimsy and worthless. ZoE climbed it at 12weeks old, with ease, due to the horizontal bars that create a ladder-effect up the sides. I also have the Northstate Superyard XL, which is probably the sturdiest, but it's bulky when folded, so plan on keeping it where you set it up. It took ZoE until she was about 4 months old to climb out of this one. I also have an 8 sided black metal one, that folds flat & locks (like a folding crate) for transport, which was good for tiny puppies, but the sides on my particular one are way too low, and the metal scrapes my wood floor when a pup pushes the sides around. I've never owned the super-portable, folding fabric ones with mesh tops & fabric bottoms, that I see many members on here have. I'm thinking about buying one to keep in my car trunk for summer use at friends yard, festivals, etc.
