I would love to get black ones for my boys, but I want to know what the cord is attached with or what kind of crimp is used on the cord. I make a lot of beaded jewelry and that is as important as the type of cord when it comes to strength.

And I don't want to steal a trade secret from the manufacturer so I can make them myself. I have my own thing and am not interested in making leashes. It usually costs more to buy the materials to make just one or two items than it does to buy them ready made. I've been at this 35 years and been there, done that before.

I bought one from Petco back at Christmas time and is was on clearance for $3.00 .... the only color they had left was an olive green, but we love it!! I will check again to see if they have any left, but I doubt it very much

That is a very good question! I will find out for you. It is always important to know things like this. Since you are in the bead biz you would understand more about the crimp and what is best. Also, I was just notified of some new styles coming out. Collars, retractable leashes , and some animal print leashes, I am so excited about this. As soon as they are available I will load them up on my website.
