| Harness for puppy?? Can anyone tell me where to find a good harness for a yorkie pup that doesn't cost more than $20? I don't want to drop a lot of money on a harness that she wont wear for very long, but I need one for her and I am having a really hard time finding one small enough! I have the XS puppia and a few little harness dresses, but really the dresses are a pain for potty time and that's what I need it for the most. She literally steps right out of the puppia! She weighs 2lbs at the moment. I've been to the 3 big pet store chains with no luck, and walmart. Even shopped the cat section, and those are all too big.

| If you sew there are patterns to make a harness, this is what I am doing. There is also a list of webstores owned by YT members, one is for custom silk harnesses. |

| Idea Someone suggested to me to try a ferret harness - it fit my puppy perfectly and was adjustable on both sides. It goes no where near the delicate little neck. Good luck! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | i live in south wales, uk and i had SO much trouble trying to find a harness that was small enough to fit Millie as she was SO tiny! after searching absolutely everywhere for one i was about to give up hope then when in the pet shop (pets at home - they also have a website - Harness for Kittens by Pets at Home | Pets at Home - this link goes to the product i bought from them which work fantasticly!) i never thought kitten harnesses existed so asked the shop assistant to help me try one on Millie (she was there with me at the time) which they did and it fit perfectly! they are also adjustable and fit Millie from the age of about 8 weeks to about 6 months then i bought just a normal x-small dog harness. i know that with my next yorkie pup i will be heading straight for one of these tiny kitten harnesses!! good luck with it!! x x x

| Ferret and kitten harnesses are a great idea. I once purchased a ferret bed for a tiny chi puppie and my little yorkie's bowls are from the cat dept at our local petstore. I wanted bowls that were very small, had a stand so the water bowl couldnt be turned over and stainless. |

| Do you have the Puppia step in vest harness in extra small? My little girl could not fit into it at 4 pounds. Not even close. It is a very secure harness though if you have the right fit. |

| When Princess was a little puppy last year, I bought a ferret harness. Fits perfectly! And I bought a "Lil Pals" harness. Also was perfect size for Princess. Now that Princess had turned one, I have bought from Petsmart a cute little Pink harness, with bling on it. Princess is a tiny girl. She turned one years old in February. She now weighs 3 lbs. 7 oz. She has remained this size/weight since last October. Last edited by shoefelmeyer; 05-28-2011 at 09:20 AM. |
