| Using baby clothes/toys for Yorkies? Just curious to know if anyone ever uses baby clothes and certain things for Yorkies. Obviously some toys are not appropriate since they could have parts that would be choking hazards when chewed, but I often wonder if some things for babies would work for my baby. I thought about getting a baby bathtub to bathe her bc it's so hard to in the sink. I nanny, and she loves to play with the little playmat/gym but I can't bring myself to buy the dog one that's $60! |

| I bought Harley a few sweaters designed for teddy bears... I don't dress him in clothes, but when it gets cold and he needs and extra layer (I'm in Canada) I bought him some fuzzy socks, and just cut them out.... great cheap puppy coat...

| I have converted onesies as long sleeved shirts for Kaji, and preemie onesies as jammies. They're unfortunately a bit long, so I have to re-tailor them. I've spent a grand total of $4, and have 4 outfits to show for it.

| Ziva loves baby toys, very few are actual dog toys, I weave fleece strips into cool chew/pull/swing around toys,I buy "webkinz" stuffed toys and take out the stuffing and remove the eyes to make a form of skineez. She is an agressive player and loves these. We use baby towels for her bath, blankets to make napsaks and to cover her bed, and a nursing sling to carry her in when she gets tired on a long walk.I modify onsies and shirts for her to wear in the winter. All bought from yardsales super cheap! |

| I bought a used playmat for a couple of dollars. Check yard sales and Craigslist for used ones. My babies love it. |

| I would love to use onesies but I can't find any that fit and I'm not very handy with a needle and thread

| Ziva weighs just 6 lbs and a baby gap newborn (washed and dried) fits nicely in the shoulders but doesn't snap without her complaining- the carters brand is longer and snaps but she still doesn't like it, I just cut them off and put a little "fray check" on the edges. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I bought Bridget one of those "blankie" toys that has Minnie Mouse head in the middle with a rattle inside. It's a little large but she loves to drag it around and shake the dickens out of it.

| They make this stuff called Stitch Witchery. It's really awesome and does the hemming for you. All you do is cut off the length you need, put it on what you need hemming, fold the cloth over to the desired length and iron for 10 seconds. It is awesome. Really awesome. I made Fynnlie a dog bed and made a cover for his carrier pad usint Stitch Witchery. I fail at hand sewing and using the machine!
