she has been diagnosed with Pancreatitis she was in critical condition this week end, she has recoved thank God, but is now on Hills G.I food and won't eat it, she loved Royal Canin Yorkie & Eukanuba Yorkie but the fat content is too high for her I know RC makes a GI food but by RX only and the only Vet I can find is in San Diego about 150 from me Eukanuba G.I. also RX is sold online but shipping is $18 for 8lbs. Bella get boiled chicken every day and won't eat any kind of can food. I was told I could get a referral to Davis Vet School for a diet counsel and can cook my own food...anyone else having these problems. Thank you for any input. Bella's Mom:aimeeyork |

Thank you so much Bella's Mom:aimeeyork |
I had Teddie on Royal Canine when we first got him, but he would get the largest eye boogers and eventually turned his nose up to it. Didn't think anything of the eye booger issue until I started him on Halo...no more eye boogers at all, and he eats up the salmon like it is going out of style. I keep tabs on the food issue though, as I never know when I might need something different. Thanks for all the info everyone!! |

delicate but strong little ones. Just got the FortiFlora, Bella likes the taste on her food so hopefully this will help her GI tract, will continue to post her progress. Bella's Mom:aimeeyork |
Never tried Royal Canin... But the dogwood analysis rating is so poor that I don;t see why it's so expensive. My girls eat EVO red meat little bites with some blue buffalo mixed in for the probiotics. They do great on it, and the food lasts forever...lol. Both have good ratings, and the first 5 ingredients are actual protein. |

everyone is to share information THANK YOU.:aimeeyork |
Blue Buffalo and Evo are great IMHO! BB has grains though, and Evo is expensive...I feed Taste of the Wild grain-less and really inexpensive. Personally I feed the wetlands foul flavor. Dog Food Reviews - Main Index - Powered by ReviewPost |

royal canine prices!!!!! oh my I know what you mean I guess I can say I feel your pain. Royal Canine food is really expensive, and now they are upping their prices! I guess the good thing I can say is that she eats very little so the bag last me a very long time which is very good because if she ate alot I wouldn't know what to do.I just recently went to Petco and I Bought the 10lb bag for $38.00 dollars, and I was like oh my but I guess I don't have a choice when I brought Bella home she was eating some cheap food, but she loved it, but when I took her home she didn't want to eat anything maybe it was nerves or she was home sick, but i've tried everything five different kinds of foods, but to no avail she would not eat any of them till I tried Royal Canine and she loved it so now I'm afraid to try anything else. also I do want to say that her coat is very shiny, her health is excellent I have never had a problem with her teeth, and never gets any eye bugers like I like to call them so I really like this brand. |
every one of my kids are on RC... the older corgiX is on medium-mature, poppet on the yorkie puppy, kitty and toby on the small-light, all the others on yorkie adult- appart from missy atm... shes getting mother and babydog because of the babies! she is the most pinickity madam i've ever met (and all mine are terrible)- but she loves both types of RC (adult and m&b) and gobbles it up!!! thats what was used to wean kukis puppies, and was soo easy for all involved- so same plan for missys. they all used to be on eukanuba, science plan, iams even bakers!- because it was the only thing i could get them to eat, and RC breed specific wasnt easy to get, but 4 used to always have horrible breath, and because there was no dental needed, i had to put it down to stomach acids- thats now corrected!!! i wouldnt switch off RC even if the prices doubled- which i pray doesnt happen!! one of my local shops has had a 3 for 2 offer recently, so i've taken advantage and stockpiled- much advised btw!!! the little 1.5kg averages at £10.20... thats 3.3lbs for $16.64? bigger bag is cheaper of course! but concidering how much brighter they have all been since the switch, that ain't bad at all! :D |

office it's the Rx formula for Gastointestinal problems, I mixed with the Scienc Diet Hills Rx I had recently purchased at the Vets office I can't let it go to waste for $ 26 an 8lb bag so my Bella eats a little of both and it's 3 weeks since her pancreatitis upset I still boil chicken and she eats a couple tablespoons AM & PM, it's only supposed to be 10% of her food consumption but she was raised on fresh cooked chicken from the breeder and has eaten it every day, I also give her FortiFlora each day and she loves the flavor on her dry food so she gets pre & probiotics. I hope your little one continues to do well with Royal Canin too.:aimeeyork |
Well I have to say that I have used Royal Canin for a few months and am not happy with it at all!! The yard seems to need cleaned every hour and the dogs eyes have alot of the little sleepers in them. I recently switched to Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete blend and have seen such an improvement in my babies!! One bag lasted forever, the yard is great the dogs seem more contented. It also has selenium in it which I love for my mothers!! Im going to give it 5 stars!! |

store and Bella loved it, since her recent pancreatic episodes the Vets have told me to keep her on a low fat gastrointestinal food, Hills/Science diet has 9% and Royal Canin has 5% of course that is what they sell in their office I now have two 5 lb bags she needs to consume...I will research the labels of Diamond & other brands that have a low fat diet that she can try.:aimeeyork |
chester is on the new chicken based food from solid gold sundancer and he is doing well, one grain and 30% protein which is less than the other grain free |
