I've used this shampoo for a year on myself. And my hair dresser is always commenting on how healthy and strong my hair is. She's never said anything about it being dry. That's weird I always love how it makes my hair feel. lol What shampoo should I be using then that's good? I really don't care I always just grab whatever for myself.

| I'm an exhibitor first a breeder 2nd.....So, pretty particular on the products used on my dog's coats. Cultivating a great coat is based on genetics first, nutrition 2nd and of course coat care.

Well thank you for that information. It definitely makes sense. I don't think my Lola will ever have a "gorgeous" coat due to genetics.

| You are so right about the expensive food. I bought that for him and he wouldn't touch it! He seems to like Iams, a bit of wet for dinnertime, and dry otherwise. |

| I do use IAMs wet on some of my picky eaters....something they love about the lamb and rice......a teaspoon mixed into their kibbles.

| What a GREAT thread!!!! I've been torn over my own dry hair for years and have worried about Bijou's wooly coat as I want to let it grow out some, but worried that it may not be do'able....I feed her Wellness and once old enough will switch her to Evo. But I'm for ever stacking my (her ) closet with every hair product I can find to try to help it. I've got it now thanks so much ladies!!!! You have no idea how much you've made my day with this thread! I considered giving up on her having a beautiful and knot free coat, but now there's hope again! If there was an icon for cartwheels I'd have it here

| A GREAT Grooming Product..... My Yorkie, Mr. Darcy, just turned one. I had him groomed since he was about 6 months. A couple of times, we had to trim him quite short, as he had tats. In the Fall my groomer used a product on him call T*H*E STUFF for dogs. It has turned out to be one of those products that yu say to yourself "wow, this really works" (which I find few and far between) I bathe him, spray this on, an area at a time and his coat is wonderful - the odd little tat just combs right out. It is a conditioner, tangle remover and preventative, repels dirt, dust and urine - forms a protective barrier. PH balanced, non toxic, hypoallergenic - what more could you ask?! Made in Cleveland, Ohio, by T*H*E Laboratories.... |

| Make sure whenever you change products, to start with a clean coat. In other words use a clarifying shampoo before you introduce a different brand product. Make it a practice about every 4th bath.
